Always the case with Dunlops which is why we tested the 150 and the 160 at Donington at Dunlops request to see which suited our bikes the best, Basically I was off the edge of the 150 in timed practice, where as Steve and Andy who used the 160 tyre still had the best part of a centimeter left, Just had the phone call so I am heading off towards Holbeach late this afternoon to meet up with Mark and get a van load (as in wont fit in the car) of tyres off him. Bit last minute.com which I'm not that happy about but at least I'll have them to take to Brands |
Weather still holding at 10C and dry.... Should get a decent feeling for things if it does stay like that. |
I'm doing a rain dance as we speak... Don't want you getting too much practice !!! |
It could be a 15/15 day...................... http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/...A3%208NG&day=2 15mm of rain int morning, n 15mph winds too. Looking on the bright side, you could all huddle together to keep warm in the morning and then scrub the tyres in during the damp afternoon session.:p |
I'm on old tyres anyway so better be dry!! |

The only site that seems to predict things absolutely correctly (worked the whole of last year) is this one http://www.netweather.tv at an unpredictable Pembrey and Cadwell it was spot on. Best not to trust it too much until a day before though. Well, my bike is running and has new tyres, but it will remain unpainted until after the test day (maybe for the best!) |
where as Steve and Andy who used the 160 tyre still had the best part of a centimeter left, They had chicken strips. :o Better tell them that you can't get a refund on any unused rubber. |
Not sure I should go as I'm all tyred out  :p |
