Blimey, not only did I remember to send you the e-mail, but I just checked and I remembered to put it in my diary as well. All I have to do now is make sure that John Hackett gets the bike sorted in time-should be ok but when I was there today it was all in big boxes under the bench-eg-reduced to it's component parts..................

Hi Guys, info and booking form will be sent out today. We're up to 22 now so only 18 places left! If you know anyone sitting on the fence give them a shove - the sooner we can confirm the cheaper the flights.

Just to confirm everybody knows - it will be either 2 groups or open pit lane. Any type of bike welcome but you have to be an invited DD guest. In more news Guadix is being totally resurfaced and extended in December to include a flat in third, triple apex right hander . Nice! DDers will probably get to set the official lap record, for 2 days anyway!

Thanks, Gerry

GrizzlyHippo 03-Nov-2006 12:07

One more for the road...

Please add Dean Nicholls to the list.

Cheers, Tom.

domski 03-Nov-2006 12:43

I think Tom Luton will be going too - hopefully!

Just need to get Rich & Becka to sign up and it will be a Louigi Moto / OD2 Racing Spanish frenzy!!!!!

:o

:D

hawk 03-Nov-2006 13:36

Wooo Hooo

:D
:D

TP 03-Nov-2006 13:47

Yeah Baby!!!!

;)

GrizzlyHippo 03-Nov-2006 16:42

Rich said yesterday that he wants to go... and it means he now has an excuse to build another race bike!!!

How the other half live...

AK 03-Nov-2006 21:01

looking dicey for me now as have got to spend the cost of this trip on bits for the van to go through the mot:(

racedays 04-Nov-2006 10:35

Can I ask all interested parties to contact us only if they are 100% committed to coming. It will be impossible to confirm that we have reached the required minimum numbers otherwise.

Many thanks,

Racedays

domski 05-Nov-2006 01:08

I know nobody is doubting it, but just to show what a cracking deal we're getting, here's some info from the booking forms...

...it's silly cheap!!

I'll be sure to check Gerry's sanity later in the week, when I'm at Jerez.

Did I mention that I'm going to Jerez?

:D

racedays 08-Nov-2006 13:18

Right Guys, we're up to 29 now! Won't be long and we can confirm and everyone can get flights booked. Can I remind everyone who's coming to download a booking form and return it asap please.

Also - although the event is done at cost you can't really compare it to Valencia or other Racedays as they involve transponders, races and more expensive tracks. We'd really be taking the pxxx with a £300 mark up... Nice promo work tho' Dom! There are other good deals out there with other companies but with only 40 people this is gonna be great fun!

VanDaMauler 08-Nov-2006 13:21

Cant wait...:D

Just sent mine off...

TP 08-Nov-2006 13:36

Ooh, better fax my form across :D:D:D:D

http://www.anrperformanceuk.co.uk are the best place for track fairings I've found if you haven't got some lined up already

Redruth 08-Nov-2006 18:47

Thanks Chass and Kye. Just done a deal with Dseered.

Right, anyone got a cheap set of R & G crash bungs I can buy off them? I was looking at front fork, bar ends, main frame and the pair that goes on the back to protect the swing arm. I checked these out at the NEC so I know what I'm looking for.

Don't bother directing me to e-bay. I don't do e-bay

Redruth 08-Nov-2006 19:06

Thanks Ian. Wouldn't mind taking advantage of that offer but I think I will be buying a full set as I plan to do a few trackdays on the Black Cat next year.

no offence Kye, they may have looked after you but their stuff is sh*te, the fit is **** and their customer service is even worse ....

Ruth, call Steve at Wraysbury, he is an R&G Supplier, he'll look after you ... :)

oh, and my form went yesterday ..... :)

AK 08-Nov-2006 19:43

er, Steve doesnt own the place we all know as Wraysbury Tyres now Dibs:( though the new owners will still be doing good deals.
Steve has retained the name of the company, but he has sold the business to another. Otherwise, same faces will still be there, apart from Steve.

Will post up Steves contact info shortly for anyone who wants it

Redruth 08-Nov-2006 19:44

Cheers Dibs. I'll do that in the New Year if I don't manage to pick up a set on here before then.

Why? what are you planning?

she's a woman, they will be purely for "parking bumps" in the garages :p

Redruth 08-Nov-2006 22:32

Not purely for that, Dibs. They'll be for the minor mishaps where I drop the bike turning it round in a car park or on someone's drive, or outside my Aunt's house in Wolverhampton, and then I thought they'd also be quite practical for when I throw it down the track. Seems like a good investment as my bike insurance doesn't cover me for track riding. :D

paynep 10-Nov-2006 15:26

I hope this goes ahead - I've jsut booked my flights! :-)

:D:D

Cunning plan, what/where/who/how much?

paynep 10-Nov-2006 16:12

Monarch Gatwick-Malaga £86

Fly out Friday pm, return Tues midday

Easyjet is about £20 cheaper and also goes GAtwick-Almeria but is an hour later going out and an hour earlier coming back.

Ryanair fly direct from Stansted to Granada but the return flights don't get back in until 23.05 so for me it would make a really long day Monday or sitting around all day Tuesday as I'm over 2 hours from Stansted.

Thomson and Flybe don't have a Friday flight from Gatwick

I figured that it was worth the gamble as flights will get more expensive the closer it gets, and I wanted times to suit me!

TP 10-Nov-2006 16:15

Nice one ... do I book, or do I wait ... hrmm m...

final_edition 10-Nov-2006 17:57

Dear All, hope you had a productive meeting on Saturday. Can I just reiterate the booking conditions for this event. It will go ahead as soon as we have received 40 confirmed applications. An application is only confirmed if made on a Racedays booking form and credit card details are supplied. The credit card details will be verified and £100 deposit debited upon reaching the required number to do the event. This deposit is non-refundable. If the event goes ahead it will be debited, This is the only method to discourage 'tyre-kickers' (trade term!) and although there are people with genuine reasons to change their minds we need to discourage this to avoid disappointment for everyone else at the last minute. This event is going to be great fun and I'm working on a special guest to make it even more special. Booking forms received so far, in no particular order:
  1. John Williams
  2. Paul Payne
  3. Tony Perrin
  4. Dominic Cann
  5. Richard Cashmore
  6. Van Van de Moir
  7. Tom Grzelinski
  8. Ruth Allistone
  9. Nigel Young
  10. Thomas Young
  11. Phil Clark
  12. Dean Nicholls
  13. Paul Gilpin
  14. Eric Howe
  15. James Bessey
  16. Pietro DeBlasi
  17. Andy Todd
  18. Jane Atak
  19. Mike Atak
