You lot are so cruel!...
He's twelve...bless him. I'm sure he's not got long left now:(

beancounter 14-Dec-2004 12:45

Twelve is only about 60 in human equivalent....

It's not a linear relationship between cat years and human years (as cats and other animals develop so much faster than we do !)

I'm sure he's got many years left (my two are twelve next year)

kwikbitch 14-Dec-2004 12:50

Most live to about 15 dont they???...My freinds cat lived till he was 18 but he was a blinkin scrag bag by the end...:(

beancounter 14-Dec-2004 12:53

I'm no expert but they can live to 20 which would be about 100 for a human (i.e. that's about the limit)

I guess it depends how they've lived. Mine have had such an easy life !

kwikbitch 14-Dec-2004 12:54

Here we go....(am I really this bored!????)
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::P:P:P:P

9-13 years
52-65 years
Human menopause and retirement. Most cats are beginning to take things easier.

13-17 years
65-85 years
Active but ageing. Signs of senility in some individuals, senses less acute, injuries heal more slowly or incompletely. Internal organs less efficient.

17-19 years
83-92 years
Probably frail due to loss of bone density, subcutaneous fat and muscle tone. Skin more fragile. Hearing, sight and mobility affected. Less supple.

19-22 years
92-100 years
Amazing.

Lisa - my cat lived to 20, she never used to spray the bike but used to love sleeping in the dip in the cover just behind the screen.

kwikbitch 14-Dec-2004 16:11

He sleeps on the stairs...and woe betide ANYONE who disturbs him by trying to step over him!

The other one...she sleeps with my daughter if she can get away with it.
We did have trouble finding her once...she was placed snuggly between the teds at the end of her bed. (sneaky thing, it was like that scene from ET! She was just peering out from between them and you couldn't notice her!)
:)

I've seen some untidy garages in my time, but all that junk around your beautiful bike; you should be ashamed of yourself!

Your right and i agree with you, just wish her indoors would see it your way, the bloody moose was nearly the last straw, but it realy does keep the cat away from the bike, it used to like sleeping on it and peed on the wheel twice, once the moose was put there it makes a wide birth.

And anyway, what else other than the moose would look better under anyones Christmas tree, other than the little box with the slipper clutch in.
