Man ?? Man !!!! Hey, I had a sex change without noticing...:lol:

nathanhu 09-Feb-2005 23:54

i did the same thing and chopped my 03 999s in for a 04 999r as the new s has still less power than the 04 r

the 57 termi systen should be out by now but a new version ...
if not dont buy it as i had 7 end cans go and a rear head manifold .
the best thing as well is get the dealer to change both sparkplugcaps/coils for the new version under garantee

Thanks for the advice, good wishes and entertainment.

It appears I'm shopping for:
Either a D/P performance high screen or the Skidmarx 999 04 (probably the latter, on cost grounds);
Brembo levers (maybe);
A DP hugger, and;
A cheapo Motrax Arsend, or have a word with Nelly about his ones.

Although it is included in the deal, I need to make sure they give me the right paddock stand, and I need to bear in mind replacement coils and plug caps (??). I'm getting them to put the performance exhaust on from new, but I'll keep an open mind about going to anything more exotic for the moment.

If I've got any money left, I must remember to get some insurance and petrol.

In reply to DucSoon: I got an '04 because it'll probably be another ten months before they're offering a 25% discount on 05 R's, and I can't wait that long.

Thanks again,

Col.

I don't think they'll discount on the 05 bikes, the 04's were discounted because Ducati announced the new fairing (05) in July, which killed sales after that
