andy, did the 57mm system bring many gains to your bike ?? i ask as ive go the 04 999r and a full system in the celler but i need to buy an old style swingarm to get it to fit, but im not sure its worth it !! any thoughts |
You'll need more than a swingarm! don't forget shock linkage etc also |
err isnt it the same!!! |
Nope! Common misconception, friend of mine went the other way, old to new swingarm due to 57mm system, first race highsided and £3k later rebuilding JHP informed him that he hadn't swapped the linkage. It even different on 749R's to new 749's I believe... check the part numbers |

better just modifying the pipes......... 57mm+ pc111 = flat torque line over 80llb/ft and 148bhp......with a bit of head modification jhp said 155 ish...... too much for me, but hey..... |
just looked and .....your right.... diferent part nos .....dam!!! :puzzled: |
just went to my dealer .. the rocker for the old and new swinger is the same . if they were different then the rocker would have been in the update kit that the dealers recieved to make 03/04 bikes into 05 facelift models |
