I don't think the residuals on the 159 and Brera will be too bad. Although the 156's value sank like a stone, the signs are that the GT is holding it's value much better, and that should be even more true of the 159 and Brera, which are built on what is generally agreed to be better platform.

Mind you, you could argue that the Brera isn't *really* a sports car either... ;)

It does look like you are drawn to the BM's though and if you can put up with the run flat ride then it has to be a BM. If you could stretch a little further there is a sublime 535d which in M Sport trim looks fantastic :burn:

sorry its the 3.0 TDi ...

You should be grateful for such a choice.
I'm a salesguy and proud of it, however I can only choose a Passat.
Poor me eh? ;)

Not the most reliable car in the world ......

What utter rubbish ....

Jaguar has consistently beaten Mercedes, BMW & Audi in the reliability stakes for the last 7 years - look at the JDP surveys and the Top Gear feedback survey.

It cracks me up these people in their censored mini panzers, always in the garage with this or that problem - Mercedes being the worst admittedly

They're ugly and they're not built in the UK. I'm happy that I'm keeping some British nationals in work in our rapidly declining manufacturing sector

I had an XJ8 (98 to 02) and now an XJR (02 & continuing) and the only fault - two bulbs and a wiper relay :D in 8 years.

I've had an Jaguar V8 XJR for almost 4 years now. It had one very big breakdown not long after I got it (sorted by the dealer) The gearbox blew up, Guess whos gearbox they use in the XJR? Mercedes Benz! A very common fault the dealer said.
