I just worked out that it's not so good on the 998cc ie 999 999S engines, it will only up the cc by 40cc ish,
I think you will need a 999R to make it worth while,
it,s the stroke the 999S has a large stroke anyway, 63.5 against I think the stroke is 58,5mm for the 999R,
I wait till the price of the 999R comes down some more and then think about doing it,
maybe in a year or two, who knows but it nice to know I can if I want to or just buy a 1200,

Thing is the set up will/could be just as reliable as any ducati if not better being less stressed!

yes, but it mite be a bitch if you stall it at the lights, lol
and I wonder what's the lowest rpm it will run at, it's no good trying to ride though a town with a bike that wont pull smoothly at any thing below 5'000rpm,
I know because that's one of the things I have been working on,on my bike,
I have my 999S runing a 2'000rpm in town which is a lot beter than it was when it left the factory, ps that's not the tickover just the point that it runs smoothly,
more power yes but you have to ride on the road,
