V-Man either you are not old enough to remember those GPS or your so old your memory is failing. For example Shhen V Roberts Silverstone 1979. Crap I don't think so. BTW who remembers the name of the back marker that cost Sheene the race? It was Foggerty (George)
Also guys like Doohan Schwantz Rainey Gardner Crap you must be joking.
Anyway if the races then were such crap and Foggerty was so much better than anyone else out there how come he was an also ran

Not that much slower mate, the Assen lap record Kevin Schwantz set in the early nineties stud untill the circuit was changed a couple of years back.:)

It would be nice to expect that whoever got the title, actually turned up....

....this honorary malarky...do they actually do anything??? I mean I know they dont receive any cash ...otherwise it kind of seems a bit pointless to me....might as well go for old Oliver Tobias.

Baisically V-Man without my generation and those before mine you wouldn't be riding the very latest high tech bike that you are now.
I assume you are riding the latest 2004 model of whatever is you ride and that in a few weeks time you will be changing it for a new 2005 model because of course you wouldn't want to be seen on "An old bike" would you
as usual with you there is no discussion just anything you don't like is crap according to you:mad:

Rocker 12-Aug-2004 17:57

It must be lovely to be like you and not give a toss for anyone else in this world or care who you upset.
I don't mind who disagrees with me and I'm always prepared to debate anything in a reasonible manner and listen to the point of view as others. You on the other hand can only sneer at people and treat them with contempt. At least this time I have not been subject to one of your tirades of foul mothed personal abuse (YET)
In future in think that I shall immediately withdraw from any thread that you post on as you make me so angry.
BTW What sort of bike do you ride?

888heaven 13-Aug-2004 00:19

vote who

1st
Barry Sheene was famous for trying to do his impression of the bionic man,Ive read the book a very very brave man but was he so popular because the british had no other sporting icons during this time.
he was extremly good at his own PR.
Foggy spoke with his bike so what if he didnt go to GPs why chance the fact you could be in the wilderness for years not earning money,I think he used his brain not some dream.
so president
why not Susy Perry she rides a duc shes british and would attend if asked.
