Get the right sized bolt to fit into the thread of the cone nut, about 40mm long or so will do, then wind a nut onto it.
Now wind the nut and bolt into the threaded cone so you've got lots of thread in there, then wind the nut up to the cone and tighten it right up.
Now you can start to undo the bolt and it should undo the cone nut. If not, tighten up the nut some more and try again.
Finally hold the bolt and slacken the nut, then you can spin off the cone nut.

HTH.

Have you taken something?

After listening to other tales of woe on here, make sure the frame number is well masked before it's blasted and powder coated :o

whats the tales of woe for not masking your engine number?? it will still be there underneath:puzzled:

andyb 10-Feb-2006 17:01

mine was masked!:D................and i hope the shot blasting prior to powder coating removed the rust around the headstock as well!

Not bad for a £20000 bike...........

antonye 10-Feb-2006 17:04

I didn't mask mine when I had it powder coated, although I didn't have it shot blasted. The powder coat has made the frame number less obvious, but you can still see it.

The frames back.......
