nice Ian Sub 3's were a fairly limited production run, I think we only made something like 150 or 200 of them. there are 2 versions the initial ones were lower bb so you have to ride rocky trails with cranks level, mk2 has bb about 10mm higher, its a bit better for crank clearance. Make sure you get the rear sag set correctly 7 - 8 mm max or it will catch more easily. you can't get wavy rotors for XTR if its the centre lock version rotor choice is limited, I've got one bike on that and use the shimano floating rotor, it works well. Wavy is now out of fashion in MTB hence the garage full of Hope wavy rotors i have. On Hope the bling is now the colour of the centre cover on the calliper, the floating rotor and for next year vented rotors. i've got Easton carbon bars on my production 5, stick with Easton if you go down carbon route, I've seen others fail too easily and make sure you debur the control levers!! Easton or Answer carbon or Thomson aluminium post/Gobi saddle is my usual choice for light weight and comfort. |
Ian a fantastic choice if I do say myself |
Do the bling push bikes not get used either.......   sorry......couldnt resist! |
