Paranoid lol yes very has some one done summit bad ?? [Edited on 8-6-2004 by Sgt.Law] |
First bike? Mine was a new Gixer600. Bloomin cool that was and I still have a soft spot for Gixers. |
Also had a Fizzy DX in the Yellow & Black Pea Shooter Micron 60cc ported Big Bore Skimmed head Advanced disc valve Ace Bars Race seat no electrics except for coil wires 15 tooth front sprocket 70mph indicated downhill lying on the tank, A130 rettendon bypass. And yes 22 years on I can remember the plate OGF 896 P Martin. |
Sgt.Law dont worry, no one does "bad" at the DSC, not for long anyhow Just get out there , test ride some bikes, and ride, but remember the stats Accidents/injuries/fatalities are mostly either in the under 20 age bracket, or those "born again bikers" at 50 plus years young I guess at 55 yrs young I fall into latter category which is why I went for the gutless, underpowered 600ss before moving up to something a likkle less tame ie the 900ssie Im sure you are very capable, but remember around every bend, theres a muppet at 20 mph or worse still, a tractor droppin loadsa diesel and hay on the road, or even worse than than that, stationary...........and you is doing 100 plus and need to stop in 50 metres.............very painful if not deadly. OK so lets not put the mockers on this, there are a lot of powerful userfriendly bikes and some are dukes that will fit the bill go with what you feel comfortable with, dont need to pose too much (unless its a blooo duke) and enjoy the thrills that bike riding brings with it an old, but fairly safe mort:bouncy::bouncy: |
