We'll be sending out an info pack in the next weeks. This will have a rooming request form so we can match up 'room mates' and dates. Extra days shouldn't be a problem - there's more chance of getting a better rate with the group booking but it's up to you. (may get a bit confusing for the hotel though). Thanks Gerry

final_edition 28-Nov-2006 15:24

What is the craic re; travel insurance. Do you have to declare track riding?

dickieducati 28-Nov-2006 15:33

Going from Bristol -> Malaga.

OK, there are now 3 of us going from Bristol to Malaga on these dates:
Out – Thursday 22nd, 16:35
Back – Tuesday 27th, 20:40

We've got a hire car sorted, but there's one spare seat if anyone else wants to come with us and split the cost of the car even more.

Let me know – tom@eidosnet.co.uk

Cheers,
Tom

domski 28-Nov-2006 17:06

Tom, assuming you're staying in the same hotel all weekend, you'll need to let Gerry know, so he can book you the extra night (it's fri/sat/sun/mon inc in price). Unless you have already.

:)

GrizzlyHippo 28-Nov-2006 17:14

Dom, as I understand from Gerry's earlier post, he's sending out a 'pack' which will allow us to book these extra days:

rich-racing.co.uk 29-Nov-2006 09:06

booked my greasyjet flight, and turned down the travel insurance as it's probably only third party...........

anybody know of a policy that covers you properly if you have a "biggie"?
would be useful, for assen as well!

domski 29-Nov-2006 09:10

CICA - Combined Insurance Company of America.

I have the personal accident cover thingy, £250 a year.

VERY quick at paying out, and £1000 for a broken bone (arm/leg etc)

It's valid throughout all the commonwealth and USA (and other places) for virtually any activity - you'll be covered day to day as well - but not for war!

Do a search on here for it (we've spoken about it before) or Google them.

:)

More places!!

For one reason or another we still haven't received booking forms from some people despite huge assurances they were on their way. The event will go ahead whatever even at a loss but there are now 6 places available to the first booking we receive on a first come first served basis. If we haven't received your form I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. Our super new online booking form (cheers dom) can be used as this records time of entry.

Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you all in February.

Would it be worth putting up a list of those whose forms you haven't had yet, or at least PM'ing them. I would hate to be working under the illusion that I was going, only to find you hadn't had my forms back.

Guadix circuit will be offering a full accident insurance including repatriation costs at around 20 Euro a day. It's underwritten by Llyods so is a fairly comprehensive cover. I'll forward details to everyone with the other info.

Jon 02-Dec-2006 17:22

Gerry I know its early yet, but can you tell me if its worth taking our transponders with us?

racedays 02-Dec-2006 17:26

Hi Jon, we won't be running any timing programme. However the circuit has a loop if anyone has the AMB software....I'll speak with Guadix and see what's available. G

Thx Gerry

domski 03-Dec-2006 12:37

I've spoken to someone about this (loan of software etc), so may be able to sort this out - fingers crossed ;)

Gerry, do the Rehm crew have anything we can borrow? or copy us a CD or something?

racedays 03-Dec-2006 17:31

Don't know if the software alone will do it without some kind of hardware to hook it up to? We're looking at getting a transponder set up for the Academy but this is dependant on response to the whole idea. At the moment it's fairly positive so maybe next year. Besides won't you lot be running off to buy sport 1000's now? Perhaps they'll have the dataloggers like the 1098ers?

Gerry

How much interest have you had in the Academy race thing?

Oh and any update on Jeremy?

racedays 03-Dec-2006 19:40

Hey Lily, how's it going? Academy is 50 % full for the march date already. JMW doing alright. I'll place bets he's playing golf on New Years Day at La Manga (no ****). Hardest rider award for sure - had his leg pinned under an epidural, finger 'trimmed' under a local....barf...Think he'll be surprising a few people next year!

Dibble 04-Dec-2006 14:41

Gerry, spoke with Michael, gave him the +49 number you called me on, let me know if he hasn't sorted it yet ..

racedays 04-Dec-2006 18:57

Thanks Michael, Thanks Dibble. This should be good fun - should have some news about our guest instructor in the next few days. 91% sorted! G

Does he have 10 fingers? :o

racedays 05-Dec-2006 07:26

Ooh, low. I'll tell JMW you said that Dom. You're for it.....
I think he may have more important things on around that time anyway:D There was a clue in the last post somewhere!

dickieducati 05-Dec-2006 08:09

great......so we got a 91 year old racer coming along????

Gerry, please stop pleading with me, I already told you I am double booked for this!!!!

...and another thing, I am getting insanely jealous of this trip...I know I could have cancelled my trip to Nogaro and appreciate I can just try to ignore the thread altogether, but it sounds such an ace trip.

Dibble 05-Dec-2006 21:09
