NEW LEATHER ONE PIECE

With Knox back panel, red MJK knee sliders, red on the shoulders and the rest black. Fitted them today. Goddam perfect. I rode up there on the bike in her track fairings. My house is on a hill and I have to say I was nervous about the sloping drive, being on the bike for the first time since Good Friday etc. etc. etc. but the bike feels fantastic. Tyres don't feel at all sticky but the engine, with all the servicing Mike Mechanic's done, feels fantastic. Only thing with the 42 tooth sprocket, on the short blast on the motorway I was looking for another gear and there wasn't one. Still, I've never revved sports bikes high enough. Now's my chance to learn.

Generally grinning ear to ear. Cooking stir fry for my daughter and her boyfriend now. He's fitted my new dishwasher and is now working on lights and switches. My bike is just behind me - pride of place in the garage. When I finish the film in the camera, buy a scanner, I will post the pictures to show you all how perfect this is. :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy::burn:

I'm thinking more of a strong hook arrangement for a hammock. Floor space is at a premium as I have to buy a 2nd bike. ;);)

Sounds like you are making plans for next season, is DD in your future ?

Redruth 17-Apr-2005 00:29

It is, Rob, otherwise the practical thing for me would have been a 2 piece. The suit is fantastic. Have to get help getting into and out of it but I'm sure there will be people around.

There are all kinds of reasons why I should steer away from racing. Age, experience, injury possiblity, expense. But I'm open minded and will make a decision at the end of this trackday season. Either way, I'm having fantastic fun with all of this so it really doesn't matter one way or t'other.

I'm sure you'll have lots of eager helpers with the suit. I may even join the DD fun myself next year. Even if I don't, it seems to be excellent motivation to get down the gym and improve my diet. Hopefully you will be seeing much less of me in future :D

Fitted suit with no bulk round the middle lets you get in to the bike and move around just fine.
Don’t feel right in anything else.
Bit of a bas***d to eat ya breakfast in though.
Going to Burnham in the morning with a pack of fledgling mates Ones got a FZ6, One on a 636 and One on a RS125, he got the RS last week stood for Two years but an evenings work got the little bugger sorted out, been thrashing it about of a night this week, little scratching rascal.
Roger me 996 ridding cousin is off in Tenerife so only duke, still breakfast will be good, guaranteed.

Was it MTM or your own suit fitted to you? Who did it?

I have a virtually brand new one piece sat in the cupboard that is too big for me. Not worth me trying to sell it as I just wont get the return on it. I want to get these ones taken in to fit. Have been told that nine lives is best place, but its a bit far to go for fitting, so was wondering if there is anywhere nearer that do alterations?

I have an identical set that are slightly 'scuffed' :D that were fitted to me when i had them repaired.
