M600 Forks So then, which forks will fit a 1994 M600 without needing any mods? I'm looking at a set off an M900 but they dont appear to have the mudguard brackets on them like the 600 has. |

Cheers Keith. So if we go down that route we need a front guard as well then. |
Yes mate. Here's the '94-200 set up. |
....and here's the '01 onwards front end. Spot the differance? |
Note that the wheel spindle is larger diameter & hollow on later front end, where as earlier bikes have solid spindle. Also the caliper mounting bolt holes are further apart (different type of calipers used) Hope that helps? [Edited on 31-5-2005 by Gary T.] |
That was my next question! So i basically need a whole 900 front end, both forks, caliper, spindle and if the spindle is bigger won't i need the wheel as well? |
No, just a change of wheel bearings should do it Paul. |
Cheers Andy. I think the pattern fork tube that Nelly has ordererd is going to be the easier option. There are a pair of M900 forks on ebay at the moment for not much money but i know Monsters have a habit of popping the left hand seal so they might not be any better than the ones on the bike at the moment. |
left hand fork seal? I've done the right twice within a year never done the left |
