brembo 4 pad callipers Any one know if the brembo 4 pad callipers fitted on the 998s 996r etc are the same as the mille r ? 65mm hole centre etc?? |

The 4 pad calipers on my 998R are 65mm - I'm sure they're the same animal as on the 998S and 996R. I would assume they'd be the same on the Mille. |
Got my eye on some for a cheeky 310mm upgrade on vfr,,,, shes complaining about the brakes not being good enough!:o:o |
Andy, I fitted 4-pad calipers from an RSV-R to my SPS, so the answer is yes, they do fit and are the same. Giles |
Cheers. God its a good source of info on tap!:D |
I did the same as clippy. they are no different - I even got them cheap off ebay, because the seller didn't realise what they were :) |
:o She's getting keen! The 4 pad calipers (P34's I believe they are referred to as) are awesome. But, I now have the 996, 998R and the Monster and the bike that brakes the best .... the Monster!!! The brake system on the monster is the standard twin disk setup apart from using Performance Friction pads. Yes they are THAT good! The P34's are close and would be awesome with PF pads as well but at the moment the monster wins. It would be a cheaper option to get the standard calipers, the ones on my monster are the same as the 996 and are 65mm mounts, and put some decent pads and fluid in it. I can't wait to put a set of PF pads in the P34's! |
I had the same calipers on my 998s as on my RSV R, so the answer is yes. |
Bought some now so they will be on the vfr.............with an adaptor bracket. |
I don't know if this will be of any use Andy. But you might want to consider cbr600rr calipers:o twin pot two pad, bar far the best in the class. |
