Exhaust Wrap Do any of you guys use some of the exhaust wrap like Thermo Tech or some of the other name brands on your pipes?? Thermo Tech has an all black wrap that would look pretty good, IMO. |
Seems like its very popular in the States for some reason, but folk round 'ere don't go for it that much...wonder why? I think there is some argument as to how effective it really is? If you do fit it, come pics would be nice! :D |
I'd be interested in how you get on / or any examples: I've played with the idea of a good looking exhaust wrap for the 748 to reduce heat build up in the faired areas, and around the legs/seat (it gets pretty hot when riding in 36ºC temps in leathers) - but do not want to compromise the beauty of my little baby... |
Galaxy, Any progress/deveelopments? |

Yeah...I'd be interested to know...? |
Sorry guys. I was looking for some photo's of a 998 a guy on speedzilla had done and it looked great. I have decided I'm gonna do mine in the black but headed out of town on business for a few weeks. I will definately get some photos up when I'm done. |
Did you find the photos of the 998? If so, can you post a link? |
Yes, I will continue to search. Problem is, speedzilla changed there forum to a new design and when they did, it seems like it's impossible to go back and find something from the "old" forum. Even when you do a search for something you know is there, it doesn't show up. That 998 looked sweet though and made me want to do it. Guy took his time and did a very nice job. I'll keep searching cause I want to see it again also. |
Found it...here's a photo of the bike and a link to the thread about the discussion. He didn't use the black in this photo, but I think I'm still going to go with the black. http://speedzilla.com/forums/showthr...7&page=1&pp=10 |
