At the end of the day its the same for everybody, we'll just havve to wait and see. At least Cadwell is a lot safer than it use to be.

Don't like the idea of them "levelling" the hairpin. Most take that corner in a safe low gear possibly (I know it is for me) because of that feeling of instability as it slopes down. If its level then the comment about "feeling safe " to cut the corner and taking it at higher speeds is valid...could be some scary offs there! We'll see...

After my first visit to Cadwell it was Barn that put the wind up me.

Off camber, no runoff and you have to get round it well to get speed down the straight.

:ninja:

The woodland is the bit I love!...Hairpin, woodland then straight into barn...The smile factor is AWESOME! You just can't think about it because each bit is so fast...I think that the fact that it's off camber is the best part:D

End of March should be interesting!

I have to go up to Louth on business soon-I will call into Cadwell and have a look. From the description is sounds to me like it's the trackside they have 'flattened' not the actual track. I think the clearing of the trees through hall bends made it more dangerous since now you can see through it 'looks' faster-same track though so same speed. The openess sort of leads you to overcook it going through-that's how it seemed to me anyway, don't like the sound of more armco either...........

I agree about the Armco business but we can't tell til someone sees it, i'm not sure i agree about the trees though. I saw it when the trees were there at Halls and I for one would not like to have raced there with those nor watched a partner/friend etc race there with those in either. To know that if you got it wrong you were likely to end up in the trees and miss one of them by luck rather than judgement must have been awful. At least Hall is safe-ish if you get it wrong there now you just slide into open grass rather than immovable trees :o

Armco might be safer for bikes. There is no risk of bits of the bike getting caught up in it like you get with tyres. I guess it depends on what angle you hit it at as well.
