album downloads

in an attempt to enter the 21st century of musical recondings, I've been looking at whre you can download old albums, so I dont have to go through the rigmarole of recording my vinyl onto the pc.
I've found several interesting sites, some which only really rent you stuff while you are a member, and some which cost the same as buying a cd.
However, I also found a russian site whith album downloads for $).99 ??? (www.mp3sugar.com)
I cant believe there isnt a catch !
Anyone from the 21st century got any experience of this please ?

If you want to give your credit card details to the Russians then go right ahead...

this may help a bit, there are also some links to free downloads as well a google search for "P2P" might turn up something .
personally i don't download any music off my P2P program since it was in the news that people had been prosecuted for it !!

Phil-H

I use Bit Lord and it is gratis.

I am what is classed as a "Heavy" user battering about 20-30 albums a day from the site, in fact i am always downloading something or other.

In my experience the "Net Police" are only really interested in those who are downloading the very latest movies and albums, rather than those who are downloading slightly "older" stuff.

Give it a blast but make sure your anti virus and other stuff is up to date on your PC, make sure you only share back to the p2p site the relevant files rather than all your private stuff.

I swear by it...............

Works for me!... quick easy, no pop-ups or spyware

I used to have reinforced shelving for my albums, now I can put the whole lot on something the size of a tampon!
