Nothing wrong with England at all...
I just spent a few days in France with family and friends... That was bl00dy good :(

And now I'm here, alone with Julie and the bikes.

That kind of thing makes you think... Why leaving France at the beginning? Is adding fun to the life more important than living near people who love? I can't believe it but I even miss my mother.

I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day.

Don't even go there! Over 5 years since I left Australia, 3 years since I went back for my last visit, it's cold and wet outside......

Why am I here? Because I'm not there. That's about as concise as I can be.

I think most people go back to their homeland when possible. The security of family, the ability to communicate without thinking about it, the memories associated with the area you grew up in, all conspire to drag you back home.

As much as I think england sucks dogs willies I have to admit there's nowhere I'd rather live. It's the first place that the missus and I have been happy together, and the diversity of life and people help keep you sane.

Of late if feel it every weekday and today especially. I spend the weekends in stoke with debs and the kids and work in suffolk during the week. Even though this is officially my home I don't think of it that way anymore. I never wanted the wife kids thing as scooter916 and scooterbabe will tell you but now I have gained them I can't imagine being without them. The weeks are dragging more than ever now the moving in date is getting closer. Oh well it's only 3 more weeks.

I know its not quite the same but feels just as crappy.

Don't say that. France is not a better place where to live. Just like the UK is not a better one either.
Our countries are different and each of them can offer things the other one can't.(*)

Anyway, mood is a lot better, I'm home with my girlfriend and my Guiness (which are actually 2 distinct entities :D )
