Duke Demon on ebay

Just got this (unsolicited!) email:

Quote:

Dear Duke Demon Customer,
As a valued customer of Dukedemon on eBay, we are happy to inform you of our
current status and all new e-Shop format, but first, a brief eBay history:-
We have enjoyed our trading time with eBay immensely and have formed
fantastic customer relationships throughout the world. Our disappearance from eBay
came as a shock to us, as indeed we imagine to you too. Our suspension from
eBay was brought about by a false and malicious allegation to eBay, by unknown
individuals, that Dukedemon had infringed eBay trading rules. eBay have
closed our account pending an investigation which will take a minimum of 30 days.
It is our belief this malicious complaint was intended to effectively remove
us from the marketplace. The sad news for eBay is that they have lost a
Quality Trader and the associated revenue along with it. They can take as long as
they need, because Dukedemon will no longer require the services of eBay.
The Dukedemon online shopping experience is now destined to be better than
ever with our independent e-Shop giving us optimum flexibility to offer you
the very best in Ducati used parts and performance parts from Sprocket One
Racing. We look forward to meeting your Ducati requirements with our usual
dedication, passion and enthusiasm.
Come visit us at
_www.dukedemon.com_ (http://www.dukedemon.com/) stocks will be growing over
the coming days.
Many thanks to you all!
Kind Regards
Joy - Dukedemon
for Sprocket One Racing Ltd

Blimey!

I've used them before, but clearly not as often as you Ant!

antonye 17-Mar-2006 12:51

I've only used them a couple of times if that. In fact I've found that they've recently got really expensive selling parts Buy It Now, or for way over the odds.

There are much better "dealers" on ebay so it does pay to shop around and know the official price of parts.

twpd 17-Mar-2006 13:16

Their prices are laughable - often more expensive than new spares...fuel caps are a case in point.

They recently had an ally 900ssie swing-arm for sale - it started at £45 - no-one bid on it. I enquired about it and the price went up to £199. Needless to say I didn't bother.

weeksy2 17-Mar-2006 13:46

they are expensive for some... but i've had a few bargains off him.

t5mission 17-Mar-2006 14:03

oh well no great loss they were so expensive and the service was so poor, I only used them once.

I use BIKE-ENDERS now and clean the part myself. Much cheeper.

Shameless plug ^^^^

I doubt it. If they did they would have already seen the very poor reputation they have amongst us.

antonye 17-Mar-2006 14:40

I didn't think that the service was too bad - I paid and stuff arrived in the post (it doesn't get much better than that!) - but some of the prices really were taking the pee.

keefer 17-Mar-2006 14:58

as others have said
I had some bits of them early on.
but of late they were just a joke amongst friends with there prices

TOO BAD SO SAD :sniff:
