Ali\'s quick\'n\'dirty Cadwell report

Kept it upright!:D

Practise was wet with 583/620 out at the same time. Some dry lines by the end, held phil up for a while then stretched my legs to qualify 3rd in 620 behind Geoff and NickB.

First race (dry) got mobbed as the ghost of Charlies 1 haunted me for a couple of laps. TP had a coming together in the chicane right infront of me, Nick mugged in the old hairpin. Got back in my stride after a few laps and took Dom on the last lap for 5th.

Second race (also dry, just) much better start, only Ian and Andy came past, hounded Nick for lap after lap. Finally got round the outside on Chris Curves only to pull back and let him slam the door in the gooseneck. Far too much chance of an ambulance visit! Great fun battling, with Couchie breathing down my neck the whole race. Took another happy 5th. :D

Phil dominated in 583, with Griff proving the best newcomer by leading the 583 race for a while. Fil found his form again and dispatched Skids and Griff to take the second race to do the double. Well done bloke. :)

Glen Graham was best newcomer on a 620, taking a very solid 3rd in the first race before bad luck in SoT ruled him out of the second race. Look forward to hanging onto his coat-tales soon. :ninja:

Great, great weekend's racing, noshing, boozing. Huge thanks to all that helped me out, especially Nelly for sorting my bike, Eric for the map, and AK for the sprocket. The man needs a stock control system he lends so much out

A solid start to what will hopefully be a solid season.

Cheers,

Ali

Sorry, I didn't know Paul had gone down. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with more news.

Incidentally TP damaged his knee but was walking on it by late afternoon. Should be fit for Brands bu the guy needs some good luck soon. :(

I've already branded him Tony Xaus Perrin.

As long as he got our trailer back in one piece ;)

Well done Ali, looks like you're well on the pace in 620's with a consistent top 5 finish and scrapping for places as well.

Wish I could've been there

Spoken to psychlist at track, and also on way home - he is justifyably feeling a bit bruised - but ok.
Big up to NBs for being chauffeur there & back for Psych:)
