too radical ?

browsing my local bike shop recently, I have noticed that that the manufacturers are putting a lot of effort into radical styling these days.....such as the new r6, yam fz1 & the soon to be duke hypermotard to name but a few, for the designers, it must be difficult to balance styling, practicality, performance, safety & cost within their creations, but once in a while something comes along that is totally "out there", and for me the proposed ktm rc8 has fallen into that category....personally, I like it, but i reckon its a "marmite bike" like the 999, you love it, or hate it...

..its it wrong that I like it??

I like it a lot. Most bike manufacturers are way too conservative. It's good to see someone like KTM breaking the mold. There is a write-up in MCN this week. KTM says there will be a track kit available, too. Looks like it will have a 1150 cc lump, so maybe that will fuel the fire of increasing the twins' capacity limits in WSBK.

Just picture it in Ducati Yellow

true, i see the buell connection, but the origami style tank/plastics & the tail styling are something i have not seen before in a bike. wonder how much it`ll be when released ?
