dyno test results

Hi all, onto my second post already!

I have an 05 999s which I recently had into motorapido for valve timing and Ergal belt roller kit. The only other performance upgrade to the bike is the 54mm Termis which come with it. I've gone up two teeth at the rear and fitted an X ring chain (both Ducati Performance).

As part of the work it went on the dyno and an extra 6hp at the wheel was achieved. it's putting out 129 at the wheel.

Has anyone got a similar bike that has been tested to compare? Just curious.

Cheers
Clive

Is that about 145 at the wheel?

Is that a before and after with the Power Commander?

dickieducati 20-May-2006 16:24

that'll be a crank figure so less, say 8%, 135 at the wheel?

yes that was a before and after with the pc111 how does you torque compare to that?

andyb (999r) has a very similar curve set up at same place: jhp.

Dont forget that Moto Rapido's dyno is notorious for not reading as high as quite a few others.

dickie, i'll dig the printout out to check the torque, the guys at motorapido said they were hoping for a tad more so just wanted to see if anyone had a similar bike to compare.

there was a bit of a flat spot around 6000 which was sorted by the work.

How to they measure the power at the crank??? surely its only the rear wheel power that the dyno can measure so why bother quoting 'crank' horsepower?? guess the bike owner just wants to hear the biggest number for pub talk and posting on the forum!

one thing i know about dynos is they are all VERY different. +/- 15% is not unheard of.
