Brembo brake spares - woohoo! |
Thats cheap aswell! |
Too right. It's worth keeping some in the toolbox. I will be ordering this week. |
Don't forget Brown will have some extra off you when they arrive at your front door! |
Who cares? The issue is that right now, if your Brembo brakes need an overhaul then you are knackered because spares are not available for whatever reason. Here, as with most Jap bikes, you can now order the spares and overhaul the brakes yourself or get a competent person to do it. Prior to that a new caliper or master cylinder had to be bought at an astronomical cost. |
According to the spares blokey at Motomecca those wont fit unless you've got the 'racing' billet calipers. The seals are different between the two different calipers although the pistons are the same 'nominal' bore. Brembo specifically redesigned all their calipers to ensure it was not possible for road riders to get spares for road calipers unless the manufacturer fitting the caliper agreed to pay the product liability insurance. :) Crust |
I don't think you're right there Crust but, a simple mail to Yoyodyne will clear it up. I'll let you know. It'll be a shitte if i am wrong! :( |
My money is on Crust.;) There was a high profile case in the States some years ago involving Brembo in a liability suit. Since then, no road spares are available from Brembo. The race spares on Yoyodyne's website are readily available. |
Nope. Crusty is right and I stand corrected! :) |
If i remember correctly you could buy seals of a guy on ebay he would make them up for any bike all you had to was give him the sizes of the seals. And couldnt you have new pistons machined? Or am i talking... |
