don't tell the wife, she would not understand

Found an oil leak on the gearbox oil cooler on passion No3.

Before I can get it ally welded I need to get it really clean. Degreased it and washed it down in hot water.

Now for the bit the wife would not understand ..... it's in the dish washer on a very hot, heavy soiled wash :o

Problem is she is due back any minute now and the dishwaser is still going :o

Sshhhhhhhh

Now that sounds like a plan ... was wondering how to make sure all the water was out of it :D

The other cleaning trick with smaller parts is to boil them in a saucepan filled with water and washing powder.
Carburettors can be cleaned overnight by leaving them soaked in a pot full of the cheapest cola you can find (un-gums all the ways).
