DD 620 Monster For Sale

This is Rattler's first-season bike, which I've had since november '05.
It's an '02 monster dark (5 gears), with twin discs and calipers, 996 master cylinder with twin braided lines, revalved front forks (by racing lines), S4 rear shock, clip-ons, rear-sets, nose fairing, belly pan, crash bungs, high-level dp cans, k+n air filter and power commander, all lovingly set up by Cornerspeed.
It is definitely much faster than me, as I am not close to tim's lap-times, and probably never will be, but that was why I bought it in the first place.

I have trackdayed it once at Lydden and once at Brands, and raced it at Brands, Donington, Snetterton and Cadwell.
The front tyre is still very good, and I replaced the rear at the beginning of this year when I also gave it a mini-service.
(For those of you who dont know, I do all my own service work, including shimming, on all of my bikes, and my 583 seemed to be running as good as anybodys at cadwell !)

I had an absolutely brilliant time on the 620 at snetterton, lapping faster than I ever thought I could on a track I had never been round before. It also proved to be one of the faster 620's on the straights too, as I was able to reel in almost everybody who came within range on the straights.

However, I found at cadwell that I really do feel much more comfortable with the way an ss steers and handles, as on saturday I lapped faster on my 583ss than I did on the 620monnie.

All in all, it is a very capable DD racebike.
With all the road parts I would like start the haggling around £3100
(Parkers list an 02 620 at about 2250-2750 and there is about 1k of kit on it plus setting up costs)

I will also consider payment by installments if you have a good reference, or p/x for a 620ssie ! (Ali, fancy a change ?)

Currently on SORN, the mileage is 3558 and I have the red key and the code card.

Yes, I am tempted, and I hear you counsel young one who's wheel-walks-in-the-sky, but I think 'herself' would have a fit ;)

the R1 doesn't wake up till 8000 :)

once you hit 12,000 it's like a bloody jet fighter...

although the DDers didn't have any issues out lapping me at Caddy. LOL

but F**K me it was quick on the straights.

I was only thinking of ease of selling and not keeping the R1, some people actually want to buy these funny Jap IL4's ! and prob more than want to buy an ickle 620 oh man who likes grass tracking :)
