Tecmoto \'temporary\' exhaust baffles??
 

Anybody know where I can get a pair of those ingenious temporary baffles that Tecmoto sell? Just called them are they are out of stock for some time.

Does anyone have a set to sell, or know an alternative supplier?

Looking to get through the Donington noise test without re-fitting standard cans….

I have a set lying around somewhere that you could borrow if push comes to shove....... I'm not sure they'd get the noise level down enough though?? They do quiten them a little but not by much.
One thing to bear in mind though, when I was down Donny last, they appeared to be checking the BS or E mark on the cans for eligibility, not using a noise meter.
There were a few IL4's running standard cans that had obviously been cored, but were allowed to go through.
Mort, Pedro and Dave W(?) were there that day, might be worth asking if they had the meter treatment or a visual for the BS stamps?????

Thanks for the offer, but as I plan doing a few days at donny this summer I guess a longer term solution is needed.

When I was there late last year, they were checking E-marks - if you had one, you were straight out. If not, you got the static noise test. I was riding a Triumph Daytona with a race can that day and ended up on a hire bike.

Can't imagine things will be any easier this year.

You shoudl try getting through the noise tests at Castle Combe !!! Me and another lad on a 748 (both competely std - even closed the clutch up!) got called in and split up coz the two bikes scrapping together were booming and exceeding the noise levels.

Currently trying to get some hi level std pipes for the 888 so I can have a play down Combe again (its only 30 miles away and my nearest circuit:()

Would be really interested to hear of any alternative suppliers. Here Denmark, Sweden, etc they generally only monitor by testing whilst you are riding past on the track.
I saw an R1 with a tension clip to fit over the end and a jagged circular cut out attached to this that partially covered the exhaust appeture. Are these the sort of items that tec moto sell?

Your right and likely more effective. Nothing more specific than "sometime"?

Unfortunately not....apparently they have them made to order and have been waiting for new suply for several months already. Just keep trying every few weeks weas all they could say...

I have a pair i bought but never fitted or used (i have oval titanium termi's DOH !!! and these are for round exit pipes)
