Termi friendly MOT in Surrey
 

Anyone know where I can find an Termi friendly MOT in Surrey?

yeah, called removing Termis, replace with OEM, get MOT, ride home, put back on Termis.....

I know of a place in Dorset........sorry.

It's really not a big deal swapping the pipes over once a year.... just done it myself and the only drawback was breaking me finger when the pliers slipped off the exhaust spring!
With the pipes off you can reach places you can't normally get to with the polishing rag too.

My local dealer said just cover up the not for road use bit.
So I took the wifes Monster fitted with ART race cans there with an obvious piece of black tape over the stamps and low and behold an MOT was awarded.

Just a little suggestion.........perhaps a u2u would be best;)

I have slapped a couple of the alloy stickers on my cans. I put the stickers in an out of the way place so they don't attract too much attention though.

Not tried to get a ticket with them yet, but know my local dealer did a ticket for a friend who simply punched the BS AU number on the end plate of his cans :lol:

One of the technicians in the above establishment told me this himself. The practice is not illegal, it is a loophole in the law. As long as the exhaust is road worthy (not falling apart) and the tester can see no visible markings stating the silencers EU legality/illegality it is passed. They do not test for decibels or emissions.

I'm just trying to save people the hassle of changing the cans for no reason.

This is not a backstreet bike shop this a major dealer and if they say so, I will do.

Is this a problem? as this is open knowledge.
