Silverstone today - F1 test day. I managed to get up to Silverstone today to watch some F1 action at the F1 test day. Bugga me those cars are quick!!! Its not so much the acceleration and top speed, but more so the braking and how quickly they lose speed!!! The noise is also fabulous. The weather was wet in places, but their corner speed was phenominal. I was lucky enough to be on a corporate jolly, but as they are testing for 2 more days, get up there if you can. There were a lot of people spectating which surprised me, but with the sun due to shine tomorrow - you could even get a tan! Tim:frog: |
good idea, i`ve been to a test day before and i blagged my way into the pits, said hello to mika hakkinen and had a 2 minuite chat with david coulthard, but eddie eddie irvine blanked everyone including some kids, and sat in his garage looking miserable all day, you would have thought with 100 mill in the bank he`d be a bit happier....! |
A 2 minute chat with David Colthard, that should just about covered everything then  |
lol:D |
That was the the 19b testing at Silverstone today Tim, we hope its going to turn around our very poor start to this season. Mark :puzzled::puzzled: |
Were you there today then? |
I was a guest of DC at a Silverstone testing day a few years ago - absolute hoot! My best memory was being in the pitlane at the edge of the McLaren garage when DC did a practice pit-stop. You can't imagine how fast teh whole process seems when you're standing in the middle of it. Far more interesting than watching an F1 race these days!! |
Tim we had our official opening of the new building McLaren on the 12th of May and every driver that had driven for McLaren was there walking around and talking to us and signing autographs such a buzzz meeting these guys. oh and the Queen and the Duke were there as well. Mark :roll: |
All the previous drivers??? |
Past and present Tim Great day. |
