What should I ask for her?

'99 - 748 bip
Yellow.
UK Suspension set up front and rear for 12 stone inc gear.
Carbon Termis & chip 15K
2x more than needed servicing
Most recently a service that had the engineer commenting on how good the engine was.
Receipts - all of them.
I have 996 decals on 1x side.
Single seat.
Black aftermarket screen.
Carbon fiber (Casoli Moto £100?) race dooda that goes along the single sided swinging arm to the chain.
Some new screws, bolts etc
I have some optionals that I can include: Sigma Slipper clutch (£600?), 2 sets of 3x spoke wheels (£250 each set), Trelgo trailer (£350), slicks, wets etc.

This hurts.
I have a short fall of £8K for the Inland Revenue.

What do you think?
Last run: 07 / 06 / 04 to Nottingham and back.

The bike is worth about 4500 and you'd be better off putting it back to standard and selling your parts separately - that way you'll maximise your return on what you've paid out.

TJ 08-Jun-2004 11:56

As Antonye said, put it back to stock best way if found then sell the parts on eBay and make some extra $$.

How many miles have you done on the bike?

guest1 08-Jun-2004 14:57

keep the bike, tell the IR you'll pay back at 50p a week.
If you make an offer to pay then I believe they have an obligation to counter your offer.

Then sack your accountant.

If you use a similar phrase to "paying you (IR) this amount in one go will cause me hardship" then your letter and offer will be escalated in priority (24hour reply deemed necessary).

Thanks.
I do not want the debt hanging over me.
Just personal.
Loads of bits to sell, paddock stands, slipper clutch carbon Termis, etc
It's got about 14K on the clock, dry miles and like I said, in mechanical perfection - I don't know if it's just me, but when I had the last cylinder's settings re-set and the shimms (?) done she seemed a bit sprightlier - or is that a phycological thing I wonder as I had them done 3 months apart.

Then I will leave the good folks of the DSC alone in peace!

AWS,

I will third what Antonye and TJ recommend.

Put it back to standard and flog the bits seperate.

Stick the bits for sale on here and give fellow dsc'ers first bite at them, if they don't get enough interest in a few days stick them on ebay. Some of the guys/gals on here are ebay junkies and i am sure they will give you some tips on how to maximise your exposure on there.

Good luck with the IR, I hope you get the cash quick enough and it sorts itself out. Hope you can afford to get back on the road again regardless of the name on the tank!!!

Regards

Cheers.
DSC will get first bite of any cherry.
Will leave the Termis on though.
