Far too much money Alex, but in your profession you are rich. :D I use a
YTX4L-BS about £25 and it weighs 1.3 kg and ran all last year on the 583 and I've just put one on the 620.

Yes thats the one I use and you can turn it on its side for better packaging. I bought from them also.
After filling I give it a slow trickle charge for 24 hours.

I have bought a Racing Batteries battery for the 620 this year

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Cal-Sport/Racing-Batteries-/_i.html?_fsub=2543975014&_sid=273301454&_trksid=p4 634.c0.m322

it was 99.99 when i bought last month, gone up 20quid now

skidlids 29-Feb-2012 20:15

From what I've seen of late I don't think I'll be spending my money on one. I'll be buying a new Yuasa YTX7L-BS for my DD bike

nogaromill998 04-Mar-2012 18:56

I have one for my 620.....running split Mikunis on short inlet tracts I need to lose some weight from the bike ( as well as me ! ) to make up for no fuel injection....so I have just lost 7kg by junking the battery and airbox, and adding a battery that weighs 120g..........it fires mine up ok......

steeevvvooo 05-Mar-2012 10:35

120g?!?! Which one is that?

I bought, and have already sold, a big heavy one with breather pipe (probably best not to have an acid overflow on a bike that is likely to be upside down at somepoint this year) so am looking for something new. Edging towards the YTX4L-BS like Ghost at the moment...

Jolley 05-Mar-2012 12:31

Always had YTX5LBS on mine. Slightly heavier than Ghosts, at 2kg. Had no problems (B bike had same battery for 2 years and was never charged) and they can be had from as little as £20.

Hopefully my New Yuasa YTX7L-BS will be here before Brands, although the old battery is still starting the bike no problem and the very old Bosch equivalent has come up green on the optimate.
I know of one Race Battery from a DD bike getting returned today, watched as one the next size up failed to even power the clocks on a R6 at Donington last Tuesday and had a off load volt reading of 17 Volt and I know of another off another DD also returned to base.
I'm still to be convinced they are worth the extra cost and hassle. Race Batteries say you can use any charger where as Super B say you need to use their special Litium Ion Battery Charger. Bit of a can of worms at the moment
