Track God Rossi

What a racer .The most composed young man just has to be the ultimate Racer. Tacticly brilliant, brave,in total control of the machine and without nerve.
Shame its on a Yamaha that was last year unreliable and always crashing. Must be the rider then.
Hope the day comes when Ducati get his name on their books.

A worthy Champion:D

skidlids 17-Oct-2004 21:58

And well done that man Caparossi at last a 2004 podium for the works Ducati, its been along time coming but well diserved.

As for Rossi ----- Pure Genius

And although there still appears to be a Honda lane Ducati has built a faster lane alongside it.

Ozz 17-Oct-2004 21:59

Yep have to agree, Rossi is just the best - probably ever.

He is on an inferior bike compared to the Hondas (IMO) - just see how far back the other Yams are.

2006 Ducati?

ali 17-Oct-2004 22:05

Outstanding. As you say, control of the bike and the race was almost flawless. That last overtake over the crest of the hill section was waaaay outside the laws of physics.

Just the fact that he wouldn't settle for 2nd place to take championship makes him the one, true track God.

Good on Capirossi for muscling the beast back on the podium.:D

Yes I must apologise the fact that Loris got a well earned Third place. Ducati need that Rossi bloke on the books. Plz plz plz wave a cheque in front of him:roll:

that hits the nail on the head, he is a 'racer' of the highest order. he would have taken the championship coming second anyway but wanted the win. im going to valencia for the last race so would have loved it to go down to the wire, but its just great to see the man in action.

would love to know if he's thinking about winning the championship on 3 or more different makes?

rossi winning it on a ducati really must be the ultimate.

skidlids 17-Oct-2004 22:47

So will developement for 2005 kick off at Valencia now that the championship is done and dusted, just think what difference that could make to Yamaha, Rossi starting testing 2 months before the end of the year unlike last year where Honda put a block on him riding the Yamaha until after December 31st, will Edwards be allowed to test before this date or is he going to be in the same situation as Vale was last year

He wont go for second at the last one either.

Rossi on a Desmodici. Oh please, please:)

I have become less fond of Rossi this year, - perhaps his wonderful focus on that title has got in the way of his nice side, although I did wonder if his manipulation of the Biaggi situations wa just that; manipulation.

He is a racing genius of the highest order, but not so sure he would ever be the right man for the Ducati job: It has to be his way or no way, and it has to be with Jerry Burgess, - and Ducati Cors is just not set out like that.

Ian 18-Oct-2004 11:16

and ever noticed how many of Rossis fan club that surround his bike on the warm down lap are carrying handbags? take a look at the onbike filming, - its handbags all over the place whats that about then???

Ozz 18-Oct-2004 12:12

Handbags at 10 paces?

Weeksy - Danny Pedrosa a definite Rossi successor! Any ideas where he is next year? MotoGP or another season in 250?

TP 18-Oct-2004 12:17

They mentioned on the Eurosport coverage that he would most likely stay in 250's for next year, he's still quite young and he's won the 250's at his first attempt (Rossi took two!).

There's quite a few good guys in the 250's and 125's waiting to come through.

yellowisfriedegg 18-Oct-2004 13:00

The poor losers book of excuses , a fairy story by S.Gibernau , age 15:

Poggiali won it on his first attempt also, coming straight from a 125cc title... and look at his season

Monty 18-Oct-2004 13:34

Did you notice how Vale referred to Sete as 'Gibernau' in the post race conference rather than as Sete as he has previously done? Did you also notice how ****ed off Sete looked?-you have to feel for the guy, he's riding the best bike, which is faster than his main rivals, and he still gets beaten.
Got to agree with Weeksy, Dani Pedrossa is the next king, but I think it will be a while before he goes to MotoGP, Elias will be in MotoGP next year. And what about Chas Davies-17 years old, privateer bike and he finishes 6th-wow, and he beat the Japanese 250 champion on a works Honda..........

Throttle problem my arse! Didn't appear to have too many problems except the Rossi-mobile ahead of him.

Don't you hate it when they come up with these lame excuses?

Think Rossi and Gibernau aren't the best of mates at the moment following all the sniping at the Quatar GP where Rossi outright blamed Gibernau for causing the hassle over grid 'cleaning'.

Never seen Sete do such a short press coference. He was not best pleased.

deej 23-Oct-2004 21:09

pedrosa's staying 250 but elias's sponsors are pushing upto motogp, a bad move for toni but good for dani to stay 250 hes just not big enough for a rcv if you ask me

rossi on a desmocidi would be awesome but michelin would need to develop new tyres for that season
