what screen would you guys recommend for my 748

just blasted back down the m5 from weston beach races and my head was all over the place so now im after a race style screen of some description, admittedly the agv helmet doesnt help with this problem

i had afabbri race screen on the r6 which was very good and would probably use again unless someone can recommend anything better :roll:

harv had a mra one fitted to mine before i bought it but the fabbri looks nicer

Fits well, but the fairing bolts behind the clock are a bugger to get to. Use a spanner to hold the rubber covered nuts (:o) while you screw.

Might sound daft, but would you be more comfortable if you "sat up" a bit? I find that with the stock screen, the wind blast is coming onto my chest, relieving the weight on my wrists. So, conversely to you, I've always fought shy of "double-bubble" and similar screens, concerned that they might merely deflect the wind-blast onto my helmet.

I've clocked up plenty of motorway miles, including a trip to Scotland last summer, at speeds "as fast as feasible" :saint:, and I can't say I''ve found it uncomfortable. Of course, how tall you are, and what helmet you have, are factors too.

If you're the type of rider who likes to "tuck in" behind the screen, then yes, I guess a bigger screen could help you. They're not that dear, anyway (leastways, not compared to most of the "bling" enthused about around these parts! :) ).

im 6ft and due to a weight problem struggle to get down behind the screen, i bought the agv ti-tech rossi rep and its a huge helmet to my old arai,really picks up the wind forces and nowhere near as comfortable, i'd never buy agv again thats a fact

back to screens, cheers for the advice guys but keep your suggestions coming

I don't find much turbulance around my helmet - at least not enough to bother me. I use a Shoei X-Spirit.

I've got an Arai Nakano rep, I'm 5'10" and 93kg's and with the standard screen on my head buffets around heaps at motorway speeds. I've got a larger screen now and it's stopped.

the agv has a big chin section and it really gets caught in strong winds, im going to have a neck like the incredible hulk be fore i change lids next

Yes, a double-bubble/higher screen is a must for mileage work, and they really do make the difference.

I bought mine from Busters Accessories - a light-smoked version which has a black panel to hide all the gubbins behind the clocks. Cost was 39.99 :D

As for the screws ... take the top fairing off! It's 2 bolts for the mirrors, 2 bolts in front of the air tubes and 2 dzus fasteners each side - it can't get any easier!!

i bought the fabbri race screen this weekend, looks good but a crap fit and how annoying are the screen kits, i had to buy a probolt kit for it, what poor quality stuff that is i wont be buying any of their stuff ain a hurry

I've got a DP high race screen on mine, and it's much better at higher speeds. I'm 5'11" BTW.

after riding up the m5 to get my bike serviced i decided i needed it for longer journeys and with le mans only 3 days away it was needed

im 6ft so i shoudl be able to tuck down in behing and rest my chin on my tankbag all the way up the a303

I know it is a little after the event, but I bought a Casoli double bubble screen.

It seems to work fairly well although I went for a light smoke so you can still see the back of the clocks etc.

Just changed from a Dainese helmet to a Shoei X1000 and as the helmet is so much lighter my head is waggling about abit in cross winds, but as I get used to it, it appers to be getting less of a problem.

The screen has made a huge difference, the quality is good and once the wing mirrors were off (to relax the top fairing) it only took time and some harsh language to get it all fitted.
