I fitted Carbon Loraine sbk3 to my 'R',well impressed when they bedded in (after about 50/60miles).Bought them off e-bay for £28incl p&p for a full set.Think there is someone selling CL on e-bay at the moment.hope this helps

...although if your SPS had cast iron discs then SBK3's eat them up.

From memory, i think a lot of peeps use bendix 'something or other' with the iron rotors.

Paul I prefer the Ferodo CP911 stars with the cast discs, but would like to try the Bendix ones at some time.
Stainless discs and I use either Ferodos, SBK3s or EBC HHs the latter of which have been fitted to the TT bikes for the last 3 years.

Hello,

I run bendix pads, a cheap mod But well worth the expensive.
for me a big difference in stopping power.

standard sps full floaters - iron I think(?) - so is it best to steer clear of certain makes/types?

nelly 31-Oct-2004 23:34

SBK3's don't like the cast rotors...........or they do 'cause they eat them :sniff:
Bendix MF compound work fine with the cast rotors and seem to perform extremely well.
Price is good to against the SBK3's. About £18 a caliper I think

Paul, EBC HH pads on mine, but then I've got the stainless discs :(

HH's are great, silly stopping power at the Rock' and on the road too :)

I use EBc H series on my Laverda and will put them in my 998 when the time comes. Highly recomended.

ta - I'll drop him a line...

Nelly got me some carbon matrix pads to go with the GP's and can say after yesterday's outing at Snetters that they are phenomenal. Not sure how well they would work on the road though, I get the feeling that they probably wouldn't get hot enough.

Felix 02-Nov-2004 22:40

I've been racing on them all year, Yeti. As you found out they are superb. As I posted before, not really for road use, though.
