pedro 10-Nov-2004 20:53

NBs996 10-Nov-2004 21:13

Shuff his head into a bucket of FROGS nothing smoother:lol:

Maybe the honest approach of explaining that you are trying to venture out into some thing else that you feel strongly about and was a little worried if thing didnt turn out you would be willing to return to what you were doing with him again. Im sure most people would be only to pleased that you were trying to inprove you lot
If that fails resort back to the bucket. 4D

... and if it works out, lay a big steamer in a jiffy bag and post it to him :D

Has a better effect if done in Australia where you could also catch some large flies to shove in there with it

madmav 10-Nov-2004 21:31

Pete, just tell him that your old employer want you back at any cost:o

Mark 11-Nov-2004 08:41

Tell him he's a hunt with a c, and tell him to shove his job and go huck f with a f his mother.

Or just hand you're notice in, and slip away quiet with dignity.

Never look Pedro, always look forward

Ian 11-Nov-2004 12:01

just done this myself as I start a new job on Monday!!! Never burn bridges whatever you feel, rise above it, - do a letter to confirm it, thank them for the employment, keep it shotrt, - 2 or 3 lines, set out the detail of the notice period, job done. Then vent your spleen on a message board.

pedro 14-Nov-2004 20:20

carnt wait till 9am tomorrow when i drop it to the "gafa" im off:),,the cheaky monkey rang me up in my leisure time at the nec "telling me" to go fetch a item from another shop first thing! then he slamed the phone down:o.ive sorted my new job out with another, happy days:sing:

bradders 14-Nov-2004 20:55

youve been offerd more £ per yard, contract fitting, and it doesnt include vinyls!! and theyll pay for gripper and underlay surcharges - that way he'll kind of understand, or offer you more dosh, either way a winner!

pedro 14-Nov-2004 21:02

im going to get less £ psyd ! however, the company is a good family run buisness which i worked for many years for before, the big corperate shop i contract to now dont give too hoots, end of day the £ is not everything

bradders 14-Nov-2004 21:12

true, used to be one of 'those' guys, then I saw the light! But I know when people came to me with this reason, I always let them know they could come back it it didnt work out. I guess another tack might be just what you have said here - less£ but also more personal approach, the gafa probably feels the same but doesnt have your cohonas to do anything about it! Good luck;)

bradders 15-Nov-2004 18:43

so howd it go???

pedro 15-Nov-2004 19:54

easy mate, told him its best if we went our seperate ways,i caught him out with a couple of things etc,but he rocked when i turned down the days work "as i carnt work for a manager who slams the phone down on me" its best if i go now.went straight to my new shop who gave a a days work:roll:

bradders 15-Nov-2004 20:23

top job! Just think of all the peeps he will have had to call/bribe/beg to to sort it out!! Deserved by the sound of it - manners costs nothing!
