Are you saying you don't like it then :o:o:lol:

dickieducati 15-Nov-2004 18:18

the exit down the side is pretty cool but the rest looks like a 5yr old has had a go at it with a baked bean can and some coat hangers. not a fan. ;)

Desmondo 15-Nov-2004 18:22

It belongs to Phillip on here. Sure he'll be in soon if anyone wants some info on it.

JPM 15-Nov-2004 18:33

.....Is that can off a reliant robin?

Rob B 15-Nov-2004 19:05

Why, why, why.

Phillip, Do tell, what was the thiunking behind this? Cheap noise?

dave w 15-Nov-2004 19:58

Not mad as a box of frogs....... ugly as a box of frogs :lol: The side exit pipe looks ok....but you lost plot on the rear one....is that a fiesta rear light ??.....bet its bloody loud !

Loz 15-Nov-2004 20:02

MAKE IT GO AWAY!

That is so ugly.

I want to be sick :barfy::barfy::barfy::barfy::barfy:

sbwells 16-Nov-2004 09:48

Noooo!!!!!!!!

Thats totally not my idea of a good idea

yeti 16-Nov-2004 10:44

Side exit is awesome, but the tail pipe needs some work. Shame the silencer didn't have a flatter section to it. That said I wonder what it looks like from normal eye level? At the moment it's very exaggerated as we are looking up at it from below. Any more pics TF?

Desmondo 16-Nov-2004 11:13

Here's a shot from behind that Phillip asked me to resize for him...

I think it looks pretty damn fine TBH.

yeti 16-Nov-2004 11:42

Would deffo look better with a flatter "rectangular" silencer. It's the round bit that doesn't fit IMHO

yeti 16-Nov-2004 11:43

Different tho, and all credit to him for going for it.

Twinfan 16-Nov-2004 11:47

Here's another:

pity it's not standard can length. It looks excellent from the rear and either way it's 1000 times better than the nightmare that is the original box imho

yeti 16-Nov-2004 13:19

Fully agre with that sentiment WJB, but then in my opinion the 999 series is not a patch on the 916 series. I just can't like them no matter how muich I want to.

dave w 16-Nov-2004 21:55

It looks a lot better from the rear..... I think an oval can would look nice and perhaps trying to get the pipe higher up ;)

Nigel C 16-Nov-2004 22:06

It needs an undertray to tidy it up the sight of all that metalwork is putting people off .

a nice carbon undertray would finish it off nicely i had a go with photoshop but i'm crap with that and it looked like 5 year old had done it

it needs an ashtray to chuck it in and start again.:o

dave w 16-Nov-2004 23:33

You need to go back to the drawing board.......and put the standerd bits back on !!

Jasper 17-Nov-2004 09:22

Just when you thought they couldn't make a bike uglier than a Multistrada.:D

PHILLIP 23-Nov-2004 23:02

OK
have you all finished taking this pis* out pipes ?
It just had to be done, i wanted to be different and i think you,ll all agrre i done it !!!

These titanium Moto GP REPLICA cans cost me £500 and they sound awesome like no other cans on this plannet.

I love them and can be heard from any point on Brands Hatch Circuit including the dummy neutrals !!

So i guess that no one wants to buy them then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have a WSB can made by Racefit which is a fantastic can sounds like the real thing, i have some pics if you want to see it, email me.

Regards Phillip OBBC ;)

Phillip - we U2U-ed some time ago about Powercommanders - did you fit one and have you had this system mapped? Any idea what sort of numbers you were puttin gout on the dyno?

PHILLIP 24-Nov-2004 21:53

Hello mate yes i remember you, i did get the power commander 3 usb as you suggested, but just before talking it down to be fitted on the 999 i had the orange light come on error ecu see my thread "thank God for warranty " so that put an end to that, so no they never got set, but going by the sound which suggest that they are breathing well they must be realesing quite a lot of retained power your welcome to try them if you want !!!!
Regards Phill :burn:
