Isn\'t Winter boring!!!

I'm sitting here contemplating next year's track activities and it all seems such a long way off.

God - Winter is boring!!!!

I've got bikes that I'd just love to get out on a track, could take a chance on a December trackday, but chances are it'd be crappy weather - bugga!!!

Whilst I wait to see if the Desmo Due race series is on, I'm thinking about a foreign trackday(s) in Jan/Feb, but with which bike? If the race series is on, should I get a Monster and take that to Spain? Or should I take the ZX? Or take both????? - bugga!!

The days are like my patience, getting shorter and shorter - bugga!!!

Right that's it - I've decided not to do the race series, but sort the ZX out for a full year of trackdays - bugga - changed my mind again!! I'll not do any foreign days and save my money to get a well sorted Monster for the race series!! - bugga!!! - or I'll put the R back on the track - or I'll sell them all, get a canoe and bugga off up the Ying Yang for a few months until it warms up!! - bugga!

God I hate Winter - hibernation seems like a very good idea!!

Didn't we have this conversation on Sunday?

You're echoing my thoughts though, I still can't decide....

Although, I've finally booked my holiday :D

Mark 25-Nov-2004 10:55

Do all of them Sir Tim, excluding the canoe, may take a while to get there in one of those, and the sea around our island is a bit cold at the moment! Maybe leave that till summer, when it's warmer here!

Tim/Tony,

What you need is another outlet/hobby..... something that kicks in at this time of year, I used to do a lot of motorcross from now until spring, but when the whole foot and mouth thing erupted, it kind of got difficult to do any off-roading so sold up, did a spot of retard racing then.

But now it's boarding, already got 2 trips booked, and trying to sort a long weekend out, boys only, probably March and on the cheap, so if you wanna try that you're more than welcome.

If I ever shake off this damn cold I have then some cycling / MTB'ing would be nice !!!

:) :barfy:

If my shoulder wasn't still stuffed I'd be playing Rugby every Saturday - which is a great outlet. I get belted and I try to smash everyone who runs the ball anywhere near me. Good stress relief and great fun.

I've tried snowboarding once and it was icy, no powder and my knee didn't stand up to it. I switched back to ski's, which I at least have half an idea how to use, and it was better. I'd lvoe to give it a go when there is some powder around but not this season. I've just booked our holiday for next month and other money is going into the bike(s).

Hopefully I'll be able to get a few games of rugby before the end of the season.

Golf is my main hobby - and that does fill the gaps, but not when the weather's really wet!!

I have been boarding in the past - broke 2 ribs!!! and I'm hopefully off to Zermatt in Feb skiing, so that's sorted but its the bikes that have my interest at the moment.

I'm buying lots of "goodies" for the ZX and I'm itching to get these fitted and the bike on the track - hence the Spanish trip - but I probably won't go to Spain if the Desmo Due stuff is on in order to save the cash for Monster development.

Bugga!!!

The weather looks OKish today, so might take the ZX out for a bimble later!!!

I reckon I live in the wrong country - maybe an extended Spanish trip is the answer - maybe 48 months:lol: , by then the Desmo Due race series will have become a European affair and I can race in the Jerez race!!!

Who is that with Tim?

I reckon I could do a Spain trip but it would have to be later than that now - maybe end of March/early April?

Rattler 25-Nov-2004 20:11

100% bikes

Jon 25-Nov-2004 20:15

Tim I'm deffo going to book it in the next couple of days. Pedro's in too, just waiting to see if Pete will go now. You up for it?

I would have looved to have done Jerez with No limits in Jan, but its just too early in the year for me:(

Jon 25-Nov-2004 20:27

Tim if you went out and got yourself a proper job, where you actually have to do some work and it doesn't pay an obscene amount of money. You would be too knackerd to be bored:P

Yipee SHE knows about Jerez in Jan and didnt blat an eyelid.........well that woz yezzerday, so who knows about tomorra tho?
Well the winter months are full of fun, being made redundant on 3rd Jan, at least they waited till after Crimbo.

I have noted that not riding brings out the best in peeps NOT, and we are all starting to become a bit twitchy............so what to do.
Still on the wine wagon, so loadsa becks and the odd ruby helps to calm the nerves
Bring on the good weather or lets all migrate to Philip Island from October to May

Sound advice Mort - not!!

I've found a solution though - Since Almeria, I've had virtually all my body extremities pierced and now I simply attach all of my keys to my body and take them with me everywhere!

Its a bit of a bugger with the metal detectors at airports, but once I show them where I keep the 996R keys, they quickly let me through!!

The only trouble is its a bit of a bugga getting the keys in the ignition when they're still attached to the ol' pork sword!!!::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
