Gotta a new toy to collect this weekend!

Spending half the savings on a kitchen this month has not been a loss in total.:eureka:

Libby has told me to spend the rest on a track bike :burn:

Had a look round at a few bikes, Japs mainly, then noticed Skids still had his 748 for sale so after a few emails we have sorted a price and I pick it up this weekend :bouncy:

Collecting a set of Yella track bodywork tonight and thats me set ready to start fitting :sing:

Downside is I have to start fitting the kitchen on the 17th of December and she hopes I have finished for Christmas, I hope she meant Christmas 2005, I have a track bike to fettle! :frog::frog::frog:

Gotta admit though, I think she loves me :saint::devil::saint:

nice one Geoff, top negotiating !!! You just need a 620 Monster now then for the race series eh...............although I guess you'd maybe need a big bore kit too .............................. to move all that weight ........
:P   :bouncy:

It might not have hung around with Kev on it but I think I might be a size larger than he is so, might/probably will not, be as fast with me on board :(

yep my 748 (Pictured twice in the latest edition of Pronto) is off to a new home at the weekend, I don't think its ever been that far North before.
As Geoff says a few emails too and fro and a deal was sorted where I get to keep the full Red bodykit and he gets it naked apart from a Yellow airbox and V-piece.

See you Sunday Geoff, sorry to the Oxon/Berks lads I'm going to have to miss the monthly get together.

Now to start putting the 955 together

Iconic944ss 30-Nov-2004 21:51

Nice one Guys !!!

Kev.....It must be terrible arranging work around ALL your biking activities

Does this mean Desmo Due is out the window for you now ???

Frank

skidlids 01-Dec-2004 00:09

No Frank, Desmo Due is even more likely, with the space created by selling the 748 to Geoff and the revenue generated, i will be able to get on with existing projects allowing me time in the New year to source and fettle a 600.
I will be renewing my ACU license along with my New Era and North Glos memberships anyway and as I already have full race kit that the scruteneers have checked several times already, I only need to worry about the bike.
I've just come back from Senna3's and he hopes to have his van sorted by the weekend then he may well be on the lookout for a 600 as well.

Ideally we could both do with them before mid March as a mate of mine is hireing Llandau circuit for the day and has invited me along as a coach/instructor as well as another couple of my racer friends, then the others like Senna3 will get the day for a maximum of £120 and probably less as that figure is based on 12 riders.
If we keep it to a maximum of 20 riders its £70 each and loads of tracktime as we will probably run either open pit lane or 20min Novice session and a 40min open pit lane session. All of which would give us enough time to try differnt gearing and suspension settings etc on the 600s if we have them by then.

Not that i'm planing anything

Iconic944ss 01-Dec-2004 00:44

hee hee - right - time to add '600ss' into my Ebay muliplex search index

skidlids 01-Dec-2004 01:08

Its been added to mine for a couple of months now, but they are all a bit costly, last one cost me £1300 and needed a bit of work to get it through its MOT and tidy it up, and at that time another one was broken for spares which I could havehad whole for the same type of money. That was a couple of years ago and one was N reg and the other P reg. another two like that will do me and Senna3 nicely.
