Racefit exhaust - any good? I keep toying with the idea of fitting the Racefit exhaust from the Ducatinine website to my 749S. I'd fit just the end can, no other mods. Has anyone done similar? How does it sound? How does your bike run? |
There's an end can on ebay... |
Hello mate, i have one on my 999 and it sounds fantastic better than termis, " just fit it and go " No adjustments needed and she pulls better, smother on mine, cant fault them at all, and just slip it off for the mot and you can still use the standard lights etc or make up you own, if you want anymore info send an email, i have load of pics just ask. Regards Phillip:roll: |
I've also got one fitted to my 749. Sounds fantastic, turns plenty of heads going down the street and drowns out all the boy racers with drainpipe attachments on their subaru's. Got photo's also, I'll have to scale em down if you want anything posting. tricky. |
Cheers guys - would love to see some pics. Can you post them on here? If not, you can email them to me at: "twinfan" at "ntlworld" dot com |
Trickz, have got a Dark as wel,how far does the Racefit can stick out compared to the original?as i dont fancy a huge piece of stainless sticking out the ar?e end. Pete |
Here's a few pics of my dark with the can. |
another |
Nice can on a nice looking bike I must try and fit mine this weekend:) |
and one more..... pj748r: I've had a new rear put on my dark so cant really tell how much it the can would stick out with the standard bip seat. With the different rear on mine the can sticks out about 2 inch. (which i thinks looks pretty good) I remember the original factory can lined up exactly with the end of my new rear, so maybe looking at 4inch on a standard bip seat ? Tricky. |
Where did you get your new end from? I've been trying to get WSB one on ebay but they seem to have dried up for the moment. :) |

Thanks Neil. Be prepared to turn heads in the street once the can is fitted. The burble from it is ace when you ease off the throttle. |

the new rear was from http://www.spareshack.com I think there is one on duccatinine.net aswell. |
cheers:) |
You couldn't do me a favour and measure the length of the can for me,would be most grateful and it would give you an excuse to go in the garage and look at your bike again and again again:D thanks Pete |
Neil, Paul at DucatiNine is getting some of the wsb seats and sandbar apparently has them ( with discount ) They look brilliant with this exhaust ( see philips bike ) but they desparatly need your led rear light as the standard rear light is the only thing that lets it down as it hangs down like a hookers flaps |

I would appreciate dimentions too - all this talk has got me thinking about a chrimbo pressy to myself, and relatively cheap too - compared to full set of Terni's! :eureka: |

Hello folks. I managed to get out for a little run today and had a scare with one of them volvo's with the blue lights. Lookily it decided to leave me alone and go past me and stop a merc that passed me moments earlier. Been a bit cold today though, could have done with some thermals. Anyway as promised I managed to get some dimensions of the exhaust for you. The actual can is 35cm long and sticks out 4cm from my rear cowl. The link pipes are 25cm for the horizontal cylinder and 23cm for the vertical cylinder. Also attached is a close up piccy. (yes I know its needs a wash) Tricky |
Hi all, i have fitted a racefit WSB can onto a biposta with the standard rear sub frame and seat and the can sticks out about 5cm thats all, sorry i didnt take any pics, but is about the same as the pic attached, hope this helps anyone. Regards Phillip OBBC [Edited on 19-12-2004 by PHILLIP] |
