Bored witless

I'm sitting here at work bored out of my tiny brain. Christmas is just around the corner and I've got 101 things I would rather be doing. Trying to look busy.
Anyone else in the same state?

antonye 14-Dec-2004 12:24

I'm writing a technical paper on a software upgrade that my boss wants doing by the end of the year (as that's when the current version goes out of support) that we notified him about 18 months ago, and he wouldn't let us go to the technical seminars about earlier this year (admittedly is was in Portugal during the World Cup!) which would have given me all the information I need.

I think I'll have another coffee instead...

yeti 14-Dec-2004 12:30

Trying hard to concentrate on writing a report to a customer about why his "job" has gone so far over budget. The hard bit is telling him nicely that him changing the spec every five minutes had something to do with it.......

kwikbitch 14-Dec-2004 12:48

I'm arranging two conferences with a few speakers on Special Educational needs for the new year.
I'm just waiting for people to ring me back and say "yes" so the dates can go out to the relevant people and I can book the lunches for the delegates....
Some people are so inconsiderate...I mean, spending time teaching kids instead of phoning me straigtht back:lol:
Right I'm off to lunch in a minute!:P:smug:

TP 14-Dec-2004 12:51

Just got back from starbucks with the wife after watching my 4 year olds school play this morning. Catching up on mail before I go out again and a bit of docco.

Ticking off the hours until my flight leaves :D

Redruth 14-Dec-2004 13:41

That place in Spain looks absoutely superb. Have a great Christmas and New Year, TP. You'd be hard pressed not to, I'd say.

:D:D:D

Henners 14-Dec-2004 15:01

Happy Christmas

For the first time ever all my projects are on time, to budget and right quality :frog: ... I'll need to just keep them ticking over until all hell breaks loose in January. Off to Bristol in a bit on the train to have dinner with my daughter then we're all off to Spain for the New Year straight after Xmas. Hope to get to the Sussex meet this Sunday before putting the 916 away for the winter.

It's been a great year - best wishes all :D

Col996s 14-Dec-2004 15:10

Spain looks like the In place to be for Christmas/New year.

I could do with some winter sun myself. "carry your bags sir"

Have a great time TP and Henners.

Still bored here at work.

Thought that only happened where I work!

Very boring.
Currently reeling from supplier comment of "We didn't intend you to apply the upgrade, just test it" Doh! Then why did you send us the upgrade with the comment of "this should speed up your full calcs" you b****rds

AK 14-Dec-2004 15:53

Was bored this morning...but am now rolling about in hysterics of laughter - cos the company who are delivering the hampers for us this year - have used the 2003 list - not the 2004 one, as supplied by our office manager.

The phone calls have been rolling in since lunchtime from previous employees, thinking how good we are to them - the CEO of hamper company is sacking staff.... me? - I'm just cracking up:lol::lol:

And guess what - there are over 200 hampers going round the country... Scotland today, midlands delivery tomorrow & South Friday.:lol:

Cheered me up no end

C:D

So now I've got a couple of hours clear to have a browse round the DSC board, have a cuppa and something to eat, then it all starts again from 5 pm until 9:30 pm

No plasma here unfortunately, the trusty widescreen will have to do. I'm sure it will be awesome still.

I can't wait to see my boy's face when he opens it to find FIFA 2005 :D

Didn't realise how boring it is being at home all day, not that I really feel like running around much at the moment!! Can't even get the bike out!! Highlights of this week so far have been a visit to see my consultant and a trip to the walfarim (spelling?) clinic at Epsom Hospital - yippeee deeee. Also being on walfarim means I can't even have a drink to numb the pain!!!! Suppose really i should start looking for a job.

fatduke11111 16-Dec-2004 00:24

In Rio been to Sao Paulo as well (on business sort of) week full of meetings with MNO's and our partners out here - now in the Hotel room watching TV and chilling out.....flying home tomorrow - yippee!!!

Tudo Bem!!!

:D
