So far, I've kept my resolution from January 2004 - no more New Year's Resolutions, starting from January 2005!

I'll let you know if I break it. ;)

Funny, Loz. I had similar resolutions one year - stop dieting, start smoking, cancel gymn membership, drink more. Stuck to every last one, got as fat as a pig, ruined my health, by the following year I had to revert to the traditional ones.:lol::lol:

Bl00dy well done. Keep it up. When you get to the stage that you can smell a smoker standing next to you, you'll know you've really quit. :D

skidlids 03-Jan-2005 20:30

Nice one Mav, don't smoke myself and never have done but I have seen a lot of people try to give up, some have managed to Quit while others haven't. Appears to me as if its down to Will power and enviroment. So if its what you want to do then I hope you manage it.

As for me I intend to get out on the pushbike a lot more, hardly used it last year after the rear sprocket system packed up.
Got a new wheel to go in it last week now I just need a new tyre.

Felix 03-Jan-2005 20:37

Yup. Done. Sent off my ACU license renewal off today.:D

monstermob 998 03-Jan-2005 20:51

giving up smoking is easy ive done it hundreds of times!!!!!!!!!

monstermob 998 03-Jan-2005 20:52

Glyn 03-Jan-2005 20:55

good fella mav
as skids says its down to willpower

i have enough to battle those intial cravings, but after a month or so i always do the same thing "oh go on then i'll have one as were out".....doh

gasmanrus 03-Jan-2005 21:05

nice 1 mav. i packed in a year ago boxing day since then i've found ive always got a few extra quid in my pocket or im not going to the cashpoint to get some money out just for fags (cigarettes, not homosexuals) ahem

its good to stop on a day you can remember so you know just how long its been

keep it up
