First faller of 2005.

Didn't even manage to get off the estate:(
Brand new tyres, and before I know it, it's gone down on the L/H side:sniff:
Now looking for replacement mirror, clutch lever, bar end, front fork spindle & nut and a little cosmetic work on the fairing. Leathers well scuffed too.

Great start to 2005, and I get made redundant at the end of January just to put the icing on my New Year cake :flame:

Glyn 02-Jan-2005 16:22

sorry to hear that mate

Lee1980 02-Jan-2005 16:26

Sorry to hear chris what a shame hope your back on the road soon, I wish these faired dukes came with more protection after dropping mine at less than 10mph done like £250 of damage:mad:

Fordie 02-Jan-2005 17:55

Road Runner 02-Jan-2005 18:24

Chris ST4 02-Jan-2005 20:30

Thanks guy's...I'm OK just mighty pi$$ed off:mad:
Searching the web for replacement parts just now, but mirrors seem to be hard to come by...can't imagine why:puzzled:!
Have an interview for new job on Wednesday, so fingers crossed for that. If successful will be looking to "invest" the severence money on another bike....999 or 998S:bouncy:

Redruth 02-Jan-2005 20:43

Good Luck Chris, with the bike repairs and the job hunting. Dn't be p!ssed off. Give it loads of really positive vbes - they really do work... ;);)

antonye 02-Jan-2005 20:46

Bad luck Chris. Went out myself this morning on brand new tyres and had one almighty slide as I'd taken it easy (progressive!) round the roundybout then flicked it left for the exit!

Some nice scuff marks on the outside edge of the tyre but it corrected itself before I had time to react, as usual.

I took it a lot easier after that!

uncle porry 03-Jan-2005 11:30

take it easy out there all......sun is out and roads look dry, but cold tyres and a little bit of a damp road are all it takes !!!

Jewell 03-Jan-2005 11:49

sorry to hear that fella....

you beat me to it.....this morning was to ill to ride so got a mate to take me somewhere.....after that he decided to go for a wee hoon as we were both bored....
*brand new,1 month old* CB1300.......both wearing waterproofs.......to much power in the rain on a long right hander....just exiting it....back end went......slide across the road....then onto some grass........mates false leg came off(lower part of his left leg)......was actually quite funny.
luckily it was on the A303 which is a stupidly wide road and was about 9:15am so no one around.
must of been some diesel there as well as it happened stupidly quickly.....
