Tyre warmers - sale??? Just spotted in MCN (well, actually - reading it cover to cover while having a breakfast in Tesco's  ).... Tyre warmers sale £150. http://www.diasec.co.uk/ I guess the racing snakes amongst you can find em cheaper but I thought I've give these boys from 'Up North' a plug. Frank |
Boys, Be aware that at present the intention is to run without tyre warmers in the 1st year. Chris |
Bought my Diamond securities ones from them via ebay for only £130. |
got them too, i think i paid 150. used them a few times now would recommend them. |

Thats Handy as I have just sold my tyre warmers and Generator to my mate Dallas and used the funds to help pay for the bike. But as its my neck and money on the line I based this decision on being able to Run on Pirelli tyres as I signed up for a series with free tyres. Now if this is going to change to a single tyre rule to simply try and save me around £40 or so in the season I will seriously have to reconsider taking part. As in fact not being able to use the tyres I already have will mean I have to go and buy a set of tyres prior to the first meeting, which following insuring my van and car on top of buying and preping a 600 is going to be outside my budget. Currently I have tyres I can race on at Cadwell so they are not a added cost. Kev By the way Senna3 has just agreed a deal on a 600SS |
I can see Tyres might well be the next contentious issue - especially as riders will all have their own preferences. Hopefully though, a bulk discount might be available somewhere to ease finances. Tyre warmers - I thought the rules said these were free - or have things changed again ??? Cheers - Frank |
Also - seem the company have a few sets going on FleaBay with a start price of £130..... http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQgotopa...sortpropertyZ1 |
the tyre, tyre warmers, wets issue for desmodue is still to be advised as per the present rules. |

For my ten pence... If wets are allowed surely the costs will go up again...wet tyres, wheels, warmers, stands, and if no power a generator.!!..sure some will have all of this, but other swont....if the tyre choice is a tyre which can afford good grip in rain and dry then it would be great imho. Phil |
not really a betting man but my money is on it being: no warmers no wets 1 control tyre. not really my ideal option particularly if its not my tyre of choice. but more than happy to go along with it. |
Boys, Please keep your powder dry for the next week or so, till we can give you an update on how we are proceeding. We have taken on board the comments that people have made with regard to tyre choice, etc and are in the process of finalising arrangements that should be acceptable to the majority. Chris |
Whatever control tyres are decided upon is fine with me. Racing a Monster or SS would not be my choice either, but as these are the rules then I'll go along with them as I will follow any tyre decisions made. Tim:frog: |

kev, can't you blag some sponsorship for a set of tyres? Surely you're in a position to claim to a supplier that you've got a good chance of winning! Maybe Rattler could sponsor you?!! I'm in a similar position with a nearly new set of 208's on the bike, but don't have a problem with changing them if the gods say so. n |
tyres are tyres boys race with whats decided and it will sort the men from the boys i can never tell that much difference between similair tyres once scrubbed in anyway, its only a 70bhp monster so its not going to eat tyres up like a 748/996/r6/cbr/etc would............... |
