Men and Motors TV - Bike Aloud2 - Ducati Centopassi prog Old hat I know for 2004 and I think the 2005 challenge has been advertised on here as well already - but todays program featured the 2004 event quite well. Some of the Italian roads looked STUNNING !!! The presenter is obviously and a good rider but it was still funny seeing someone onboard a 1000DS Multistrada going around a corner, foot out, supermoto styleee. Ooops - sorry - looks like it was the last showing of that episode: http://www.menandmotors.co.uk/whatso...ES%20ALOUD%202 Challenge link: http://www.centopassi.com/ Frank |
Saw this on TV last week, me and Lily were commenting on how great the roads and scenery looked, dunno how good it would be on a sports bike, but would be great fun on an MS or supermoto on those roads |
Watched the programme this afternoon. Fantastic scenery, very similar surroundings and roads that I went on 2 years ago. In Andorra, on my old trust worthy 748. Had a great time. But it did not cost me 700 euros. |
Missed that episode but think the rider was Chris Moss, big fan of the Multistrada, he crashed one in front of the Ducati staff!!!!! The bikes aloud episode on the 19th Jan (and repeated that week) shows Mossy returning to despatch riding as he spends a day working for us, fouling everything up and being abused by the controller and clients. I suspect most of what i said about him will be edited out! He actually used to be a good courier, but not for the purposes of the programme! [Edited on 11-1-2005 by BDG] |
Mav should get a trip sorted for those roads, and scenery me thinks... |
I saw it last week. That whole leg out in front thing looks precarious on tarmac with a bike that size. However, I thought overall it looked bl00dy fantastic but I reckoned it would be quite hard work on a 996. I was wonderng who the rider was too. He was obviously getting a huge buzz out of it all. But crashing in front of the Ducati staff!!!!! That's sooo last year - wouldn't you say, WJB?:lol: |
So there will be a DSC team entering this year then ???????? 21-24 JULY 2005 ..... Ask them for a 620SS as a prize instead :devil::devil::devil: |
I thought they made it fairly clear that the prize was all but unattainable. And they did major on map reading skills, which virtually disqualifies me from the get go. Still ... if a few people wanted to go, amongst them some people who can read maps, and we were back in time for TA 4. ..:puzzled::puzzled: |
that brady girlie is nice:D |
|
Anyway, back to this thread, although I may suddenly be called away if I get a call from A Mr Moss, I think a DSC group trip for the Centopassi is an absolutely brilliant idea. However, this year it's gonna clash with TA4. And presumably some people (eg Antony the Efficient) have booked their summer holidays already. But next year - a trip down to Italy to take in the race at the end?? Organised for and on behalf of the DSC, probably by Antonye as he's so good at this stuff? I'd definitely be up for that. I'm actually up for it this year but torn between wanting to include it in a planned holiday and wanting to do a proper DSC Trackday because I missed TA3 (thus saving my bike from certain damage).:devil::bouncy::bouncy: |
Blimey Ruth - does Antonye owe you a favour or something :) Just seen Mr Moss on Scratchin2 this afternoon - and seem to remember him riding Rossi's bike a little while, very funny - top bloke. Erm...if he can still get access to free bike rides......................... However, yes - Centopassi - I'm quite tempted to check this out a bit further since I am owed a bike holiday by "her who must be obeyed". Time for some detective work me thinks ! |

21st July is my birthday, and will be spent in a suitable manner (usually on the track or comotose in a pub...) However, with the assitance of Mr Neil Murray, sometimes of this Parish, we may well get round to organising a foreign trip this year if anyone is seriously interested. |
Well, I'm seriously interested, no question. So, here's the list Iconic 944SS Antonye Redruth There, Antonye, I've started you off, you can take it from here :burn: |
