My bike ( piccy ) Damn ..its almost to nice to race.......A few changes will occur but essentially it will remain standard...... [Edited on 11-1-2005 by fil2] |
Ah, so you're the one that offered the guy 1475 for it and pulled the rug from under me! Git! I'll make sure you visit the gravel this year.... |
Quote:
.?? did not pay 1475 for it dude...not any inention to take it from you bro..!..rang him and he was 10 mins up road from me..was right bike right price and in right location...i could not afford to pay much more than i did so my choice was severly limited. Phil Gravel.......nooooooo...i will be so far behind you..i wonder how u gonna do it anyways...lol.. |

That's the one off ebay that we'd agreed £1100 for (I hope you got it for less than this!) and I was going to pick it up on the saturday morning ... then he emailed me to say that he'd sold it via the original advert for 1475. Guys name was Richard in Newport Pagnell? Just bought himself a 916? |

Now that is sweet! I imagine the prices of SS600's and Monster 600's have gone up 20% in last month due to the increased sales! |

Poor guys and gals with 750SS and monsters wondering why they are worth less than the 600's!! |
very nice phill you should bring it out on a couple of ride outs, i might be able to keep up then;) then again probably not:( sweet looking baby duke |
Just one point here lads ,if you are going the big bore route theres no reason not to go for a 750 the stroke is the same and the big barrels go staight on. There go the prices of 750s! Butch |
Hmmm...now theres a thing - both books I have say the stroke is different at 58mm for the 600 and and 61.5 for the 750mm. |
correct, but check out the 620 against 750 ,both have the same stroke. You would need to fit 620 heads though to keep the valve sizes the same |
its all gone a bit techie!!! |
Dont forget that big brother is always listening! The rules have been drawn to ensure as level a playing field as we can make it. Modifications not in the spirit of the series could well find themselves the subject of ammendment and thereby exclusion from race results. chris |

not that i'm going to be doing too much to mine, but surely any modifications done within the rules are ok? i for one would not be happy spending my cash doing a mod as per the rules and then finding myself excluded because it wasnt 'in the spirit of the series' an example: say someone decides to chuck loads of cash at their bike in terms of carbon/magnesium/titanium etc to get it bang on the minimum weight when others cant get near it? just playing devils advocate here but i dont think rules changes mid season are an option. |
Go Dickie GO!!! Ill set up with me mate for those carbon Dymags aswell then.:frog: |
yeah, could do with all the help i can get. probably still wouldn't be able to get a podium if i was on my 999! |
Boys, it is all about being sensible, carbon wheels done up as original would be illegal under the existing ruls. Chris |

As if your ride is going to have any problems staying ahead of the pack. So what did you think of the "naked chicken"? |
Id love to get my teeth around playing with the rules. Std ducati swing arms must be used......does that mean you could fit a 99* single sided ? Std Ducati wheels. so then 998r light weight marchesinis? with the 999r discs and radial calipers? |
Andy I think you will find it's the standard 600/620 wheels only, ie the 4.5" X 17 rear, be interesting trying to fit that to a single sider, but if you want to lend me a 999R arm i'll see what I can do with it. |
