daves monster!

Well I finished the electrics etc, fitted the rearsets and high level pipes(with ties), put petroll in it and it started! unfortunately I had not reallised the unions for the carb heaters were open so the drive is now covered with oil!! bodged up a bypass pipe and it runs ok considering The carbs are not set up!!.
If anyone can help I still need to sort out clip ons or drop handlebars to allow a fairing to be fitted, does anyone know what the diameter of the fork legs is where clip ons will fit!

next off to Mike Duvall for set up and dyno time then off to Almeria to find out If I can ride it!!

Dave,
if your fork legs are the same diameter as the SS then you can have my old ones - they're up at Nelly's so give him a bell.

cheers,
Chi

Hi Dave,

I assume the forks are the same as on the 600ss, so you'll need 50mm clip ons. I'm looking for a set also, so if you find a cheap source let me know. M&P do some steel ones for £37, but I'm really looking for something s/h and in alloy.

Cheers,

ali

I guess this means that Ali has a spare set too then!

Ali, would sliding the originals down the forklegs 4-5"s not do the job?

Dave I've also got a set you can have if Chi's are poo....

I need a right-hand fork leg with the caliper mount, if we're starting a parts list :D

You and a hundred others!!! Get to the back of the queue!!

Right you lot, if the fork leg tops are DEFFO 50mm then these will fit a treat:

(bought new from spareshack - wanted to RAISE the bars on my 900SS but in both formats they didnt want to sit ABOVE the top yoke, once I'd pushed the forks through enough, to stop the bars fouling the fairing).

They have a bridge piece that be fitted allows a slightly higher rise or removed allows them to be fitted flat.

Darren

Why do you think I got rid of them!!!
Only joking - they are surplus to requirements now that my 900SS is sporting a lovely pair of SBK forks.

Once I fit the renthals, I'll have another spare pair of SS clipons!
