Oulton Pk SATURDAY 19th March

tracktime promotions £129

booked first track day for this year, staying near to home for first run out and also Fred will be running the new bike in so just a pootle really.

This is a good price for a Saturday and having seen the turnout at Oulton last Saturday I expect this to get booked up fast.

Can't imagine any of you desmodue folks will come along but does anyone else fancy it?

JPM 31-Jan-2005 11:27

Well I've got 1 mile on the clock, so need to get some miles, and can't go above 6K... oh the fun i'm gonna have ;)

Mr C 31-Jan-2005 12:43

Think I may come for a nosey.

DCR

Just turn up, no one on the gate at Oulton, it's only a track day after all, some good viewing points also.

See you there...

Lily 31-Jan-2005 22:34

DCR/Mr C

Yeah come on over and have a laugh at the first outing of the year :)

will have the kettle going to kep us warm so come and find the odd squad as there is likely to be a strange mixture of bikes parked up with us from classics through mini sports to the triple nine

Also, if its like sunday just gone, a few of the lads will be there on the rs bikes (ex ellison etc) which are quite nice to hear on the track :)

Lily 17-Feb-2005 14:14

fast group i assume Steve?

Lily 17-Feb-2005 14:19

Nice one. First this year for us, in fact first time on new bikes and first time on any bike in 6 months so we will be taking it at a nice sedate pace i think :)

praying for dry day now :)

Lily 17-Feb-2005 16:28

DCR

Look out for a triple nine with a loud paint job and black 998 with a nervous bird next to it thats Freak and myself and look for the bright yella gixer with a loud scouse bloke and you have weeksy :P

JPM 17-Feb-2005 16:34

So going on the above, what sort of times are we all going to try and hit then?

I've got no idea what I will do on the triple 9, as it will be my first ride, new bike and all, so got to get used to the whole experience, plus it's got 1 digit miles on the clock, so won't be screaming around.

Lily, similar situation, new bike to her, lots more power, and no slipper...

Weeksy, well he knows his bike (intimately I think  ) and will have already had a few outings this year, but from my knowledge only one previous visit to Oulton...

There are a few others going from VD and alike also, but you lot wouldn't want to be associated with them ;)

Lily 17-Feb-2005 16:37

first outing in 6 month on new bike and very scared.

I reckon I am hoping at best to be sub 2.10 assuming that its not freezing cold or raining (i will be in the garage if thats the case) Having said that with the way i was riding last year I will be lucky to get sub 2.20!!!

Gonna be a bit nervous if Caela (Baby Hornet on VD) comes up to inters though as she has done well under 2 mins there in the past and I am gonna get my arse wopped by a 400!!

DCR,

There's quite a nice restaurant at Oulton, bit pricey, but what do you expect, there will possibly be a burger van also.

I think the first session will be around 9-9:30 and probably run until about 5pm at the latest depending on light etc, saying that it's a month away so might run a bit longer

....so this is an end to it then???? How many years do you reckon you'll race for? Is it a physical of financial decision?

Tim:ninja:

Lily 17-Feb-2005 17:39

ahh, you are finally doing ESS heh... good plan me thinks, even if it just confirms your riding for you and takes away doubts as to whether it will help you or not.

2 mins or less would be a good finish in DP race at Oulton so I am guessing that's what you would realistically be aiming for :)

Sounds good, I am Mr Crap at directions on the bike, I can find Charnock Richard though !

DCR

Work permitting I can meet at the M56 turn off, just post approx time nearer to the date.

Old Yella 20-Feb-2005 23:53

Clocked you on Picmans site.
Had a mate there on an R6 but think he was in Novice so would not have been out with you anyway.
Wheres the next day for you then?

Old Yella 21-Feb-2005 00:32

Might see you at Croft big un.

ESS is well worth the moneymate.
Did it at Croft last year with Mamola as the guest, jeez was he fast.
Funny as **** when he was in the bar on the first night telling jokes all the time, my sides were aching all the second day.

Enjoy it mate, its very good.

JPM 02-Mar-2005 12:56

Found out last night that my mate with his 998RS02 has booked on in the fast group, that'll make it interesting...

Lily 13-Mar-2005 19:23

If its raining I will be in the car :P:lol:

Lily 13-Mar-2005 19:43

are you still coming to watch Weeksy?

Lily 13-Mar-2005 20:02

Fair enough, wasn't certain if you were combining it with VD meet.

Bloody hell Steve-I thought you had got away with that one??
By the way I expect you would have been able to run 2.00 at Oulton-WJB was doing 1.59's last year with a best lap of 1.57.3-that of course is just on a ickle 250..........;)
