Snetterton DSC Weekend Track Attack (4 minus 0.5!) - Saturday 25 June

Now that the Cadwell Track Attack 4 is officially full (see separate post I'll put up later), in Monty's absence, we would like to confirm that the proposed Snetterton DSC weekend will include a DSC trackday.

The trackday will comprise 5 x 20-minute sessions with 2 groups (novice/inter and inter/fast). It will be run on Saturday 25 June with track time starting at about 10.30 and finishing at about 2.00. The cost is yet to be finalised but expected to be about £90 - edited - only £70 - what a bargain!

DickieDucati has already put up this post giving details of the potentially great weekend's events (the first EVER 24 hour motorcycle race in this country), which were also outlined in January's Pronto.

Amended 13 April:

Right - form attached in Word format. Plus same form in pdf format attached at the bottom of the thread (well, it's the bottom at the moment!)

Look forward to getting the forms, Lizzie.

When do you expect to be posting them out? Please put my name on the list for the trackday.

:sing:

skidlids 15-Feb-2005 22:41

Lizzie make sure you send one to Dallas if its not Ducati bike only trackday, I was telling him about it earlier and doesn't cvlash with any of his race meetings, I was also hoping to rope him into marshalling along with my mate Adrian who will not be at the TT this year.

Mr_S 15-Feb-2005 23:11

That'll be another outing for the (yet to be finished) bike then, especially since I've volunteered for marshalling too.

oi! no queue jumping ! there's rules here you know! ;)

Redruth 15-Feb-2005 23:29

Just exercising my right as a regular postee to express an interest. Not a priority, you understand, just an interest.:lol:

Rally 16-Feb-2005 02:22

Like wise, I post here to display my interest. Naturally, heaven forbid, I won't expect any preferential treatment just because I've posted on the forum rather than await an application form to hit the mat. :P ;)

Toys back in the cot please people :devil::lol::lol:

andyb 16-Feb-2005 19:52

Its a DSC trackday yeah, does that make it Dukes only then! :o

lizzie 12-Apr-2005 22:02

Right you lot - I've amended my post at the top of this thread to attach the form.

I know it's not convenient geographically for some of you, but this will almost certainly be your only opportunity both for a weekend DSC trackday and also to combine a long morning on track with watching the 'professionals' in the Desmo Due event later on (and the considerably more professional lot later on than that), so it's worth making an effort for.

We've organised a DSC only camping area both for Friday and Saturday nights and we're hoping to organise something food-wise for Saturday pm. Trackdayers get free entry to the weekend's activities (otherwise £10 advance or £12 on the gate). Come along and join the fun.

See you there....

lizzie 13-Apr-2005 20:37

pdf version of application form attached, thanks Mr_S

TP 13-Apr-2005 20:44

Woohoo, really looking forward to this. Going to be lots of fun!

HW 14-Apr-2005 01:03

Lizzie, will the free entry and camping also extend to family who might plan to come along? Meaning wife and kids here, not the whole clan! :)

sparkin 14-Apr-2005 01:22

Lizzie, when will you post a list of entries?

PS it`s geographically convenient for me:D:D:D

lizzie 16-Apr-2005 12:42

Henry - as I understand it, kids 12 and under get in free, but non-participating adults will have to pay unless you can blag an unused ticket from one of the DD boys.

Sparkin' - glad to hear it. Entry list - I haven't got any further than opening the envelopes yet - patience, boy, patience!

Tantrum992 27-May-2005 17:01

Is there a list yet ? :smug:

phoenix n max 11-Jun-2005 00:45

rick hodson 13-Jun-2005 22:00

is there any spaces left for snetterton

lizzie 13-Jun-2005 22:05

Hi Rick

Just a few - and I know there are a few application forms on their way. It's first come, first served, so get your application in the post tomorrow and you might be lucky - no guarantees though!

Am about to start a new post with the names of those signed up already.

electricsheep 13-Jun-2005 22:10

do the trackday people get a ticket or do we have a secret password to get in :puzzled::lol:

lizzie 13-Jun-2005 22:29

Funny you should say that as we were discussing that earlier .... you were supposed to be getting tickets to get in, but now that the 24 hour race has shrunk to 8 hours and is happening on the Sunday, we're not sure it will be necessary.

Chris will be checking with MSV tomorrow. I'll let you know as soon as I know myself. Obviously if you do need tickets, I'll be sending them to you with the joining instructions as soon as we get hold of them.

lizzie 20-Jun-2005 14:09

Apologies for the delay in getting joining instructions out - these will be sent by email where I have an email address as we've had confirmation that tickets are not required for circuit access on the Saturday only.

I'm still awaiting confirmation of the last few points from MSV and am hoping to get the email out tomorrow.

The most important thing to note is that signing on is between 8 and 9 with the briefing at 9 sharp.

If you have any particular queries, please email or U2U them to me and I will ensure I cover it in the instructions.
