Latest entry list?

Do we have a finalised entry list yet?

TP 21-Feb-2005 21:30

No not yet, I'm not sure what criteria would have to be met before the race committee do close it?

The latest number I'd heard was 33. Including 4 dealership entries!!

fil2 22-Feb-2005 09:35

what is classed as dealership entry.?

TP 22-Feb-2005 09:39

Well for me it's an entry entered by a dealership. JHP, 2xDLS and M&P. There's four.

dickieducati 22-Feb-2005 09:47

is there a novice/rookie prize either for the series or better still for each race?

if nothing is being done how about all the rookies putting in say a fiver and the winner or first 2 or 3 or whatever pick up some cash. if we have 20 people putting in a fiver it would give us a cash pool of 100 for each race.

dickieducati 22-Feb-2005 09:56

it will be a long time till i'm not classed as a novice!

basically i will just be chucking away an extra fiver each race, but hey easy come easy go. :D

TP 22-Feb-2005 10:14

I'd do that, provided there wasn't a prize for it already.

ali 22-Feb-2005 11:06

I'd be in for this. Good incentive to provide a bit of last lap craziness!

dickieducati 22-Feb-2005 11:08

i can see it now, 3 a breast into the final chicane at snetterton to pick up the 15 quid prize money!:lol::lol:

Didn't know M&P were entering... that must be why they won't let me blag any monnie bits of 'em!

You've a missed a couple more dealer supported entries tp, P&H have a rider who I met at the weekend, nice bloke but I forget his name. He's a novice on a brand new bike so he'll be too scared to be getting anywhere near us crazy fckrs!
Snells are supporting an entry too... now their guy is definately a mad fckr so you best stay outa his way!!

I may have gotten my M&P mixed up with my P&H!

Nevermind, I'll be down the blunt end anyway.

dickieducati 22-Feb-2005 11:47

yeah yeah yeah

NBs996 22-Feb-2005 11:57

So what would we class as a 'dealer entry' anyway?
Would it be a rider partly supported by a dealer? Or a dealer who points to a random employee and says "oi you, ride this"??

Just wondering.

You asking me Nick? Because I've already answered this question above ...

I don't know if it really matters to be honest, and I'm not sure I like where this is going .. it's not that big a deal to me. Just someone else I want to beat. Like you Nick, I want to beat you :D

In any event, I couldn't stay with Dickie for more than two corners when we were at Silverstone together, my two track days were novice and inters, so I'll be at the blunt end :D

i recon anyone that has financial support or bikes preped by dealers free of charge can be classed as dealers entries. as tony said though not that it matters one jot, just another bike on the grid at the end of the day.

and tony, it may have had something to do with me being on a more powerful bike!. being on the same bike is obviously a great leveller as i found out when ali ****ed of into the distance at snetterton.

NBs996 22-Feb-2005 12:11

Ahh... shoulda read back a few posts I guess!

It don't matter to me what a dealer entry is, what really matters is the riders. Anyhow, the Snell's entrant ain't too quick either so you might get to play with him at the blunt end.

You won't be beating me tho tony :P

Not on the track maybe ;)

Dickie, your 999S wasn't that much more powerful than my 996, mine is a little bit removed from being standard remember. But, I take your point. I'm hoping it will be a bit of a leveller to give me a chance.

This is a wholly unrepresentative statement that my lawyers will be looking into! Not only have I done Snet before (last July), but I was riding a bike worth 3p!

TP 22-Feb-2005 12:32

I've seen photo's of what Snet looked like on the weekend, if you go to visordown into the club racing section there's a few threads there with pics. It was very icy, snow everywhere and I'm sure I would have been holding back out there. Nothing to win, lots to lose.

Ange bought me a nice book for xmas, The Soft Science of Motorcycle Racing by Keith Code. I'm going to get stuck in now and see if it's any good. I'll need everything I can get from it!

NBs996 22-Feb-2005 12:49

Have to say... huge respect to dickie and Ali for riding in them conditions at Snet - I reckon I'd have just zipped the sleeping up and locked the van doors!
