Speechless!! |
He should have been locked up for a few years! See how his law career kicks on after that! Pennant got the same or more than that didn't he? [Edited on 4-3-2005 by TP] |
Show's that you're better off without a license, insurance, tax etc, if the driver had been law abiding and this had happened he'd of been sent down for several years. This country really does suck at times! I really feel for the biker  |
[Censored], both him and the **** of a magistrate that sentenced him! |
I might want to chop his leg off. |
i hope he dies. that is absolutely disgusting. if the victim was a member of my family or a friend the driver would be on seriously borrowed time. sometimes the alledged justice system is beyond belief. |
"a poor attitude to licences and insurance" talk about an understatement!!! :flame::flame: |
I don't know exactly when the justice system in this country went haywire, but I just can't comprehend this kinda behaviour - much less this kinda sentencing. Some years ago a drunk drove into a biker on a flyover down this way - he took his leg clean off. According to witnesses, the drunk got out of his car walked over to the biker, who was lying bleeding (to death, as it turned out) on the road, and gave him a right telling off. Then he picked up the severed leg, threw it off the flyover and drove away. Can't remember the punishment, but I don't believe it was a prison sentence. |
Absolutely GOBSMACKED!!Bloody hell, you get six months jail for doing 150mph!! |
Unbelievable ! 2 months porridge and the biker has to spend the rest of his life paralised...i hope the biker has some serious mates who will hunt that ***** down like the dog he is and...........you know the rest. :flame: |
There was another case earlier this week, an asylum seeker with no licence and insurance killed a teenager then drove off. He was caught and ended up with a two month sentence, had he had a licence and been prosecuted for death by dangerous driving he could have received a maximum sentence of 14yrs………and they have the nerve to call it the justice system :flame: [Edited on 4-3-2005 by JohnDa] |

( There is no requirement for a person prosecuted for Death by dangerous driving to be the holder of a valid driving licence. ) If that cannot be shown, then the most you will be able to go for is due care / fail to stop & associated document offences. There is a promise of a new offence of causing death by careless driving in the new Parliament however that offence is not on the statutes yet. |
In the industry I work in it would be considered dangerous to use a piece of machinery you had not been properly trained for and gained the appropriate operating ticket, amounts to the same thing really. The promise of a new offence will come a little late for the victims and families affected by cases like this and will never see true justice done for there losses. |
I hate to say it, but a member of my family has NEVER had tax, insurance, MOT or a legal car or bike. He buys old bangers from dodgy blokes in pubs (last time it was a fiesta he swapped for 200 fags). He runs them round until they break down then he leaves them at the side of the road. He has been caught by the police loads of times. He either gives false name/address or if they suss him, he goes to court and pleads poverty. He thinks WE are the idiots, being ripped off by insurance companies. When we argue about the consequences of hitting someone when uninsured he says "there's an insurance scheme victims can claim from if hit by an uninsured driver". It's caused huge family rows and I now no longer see him (last time we came to blows over this). The point of this rant is his total fines so far come to less than my insurance for one year. It's a f*****g joke. |

You don't get to break the news to them face to face, I do. |
I want to say something, but i am totaly speechless what is the legal system coming to, i think its time for a shake up on crime and punishment. |
Just remember before you ask for something, make doubly sure that you want it in the first place. |
